BEST of the BEST GERMAN FOOD AROUND!!!!!!!!!!. Run- Don't walk to Bavarian Haus!

My husband and I have tried local german resturants in San Antonio and New Braunsfel. We wanted to see what we had locally, so we searched and saw some favorable reviews for the Bavarian Haus. We decided to drive to Kirby to try it.

OMG! I have no idea where the cook was trained, but our dinner was phenomenal. I tried the pork tenderloin schnitzel with brown mushroom grave and fried potatoes with onions. It melted in your mouth, the portion was enough for two and it was hard to stop eating. My husband had some sort of sausage (wurst) and we both enjoyed a few beers. I highly recommend the german wheat beer.

We were awe struck with how amazing the food was and knew instantly this will be a place we frequent with our family and friends.

This is a small charming resturant with outstanding service and off the charts food. We were so impressed we ended up meeting the cook. He was very friendly and talked about some of the memorabalia that is posted on the walls of the resturant.

I don't trypcially take the time to write a review, but this is an experience worth sharing. Thanks to everyone who posted before me! We may have never known what a gem we had here.

Best German food in San Antonio area. Best German restaurant in San Antonio area. Compared to the few others, this is tops! Great food, almost like being in Germany. Love it!

Great Food! New Owners..Authentic German Food. go to all menus to check out their menu- search for bavarian restaurant. ... they chef is from Germany and is all about flavor and authenticity. also he makes authentic homemade cakes! to die for!

Great place for terrible service. a great combination of terrible food and unfriendly service. Waitress had a nasty demeanor. The food was late, cold, and tasteless. Its amazing how the service and product can make, or break a business. My advice....change, or close!

Great Food, Great Prices. Now under new ownership and the chef is great! Love the food and prices. Very affordable for Lunch and Dinner and the portions are huge for the price. Been to other German restaurants and this is one is the best so far!

Will never return. The worst service I have ever experienced. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to get a menus. Waitress looked at us like we spoke a foreign language when we asked for extra dressing on our salads. Food was served warm not hot. She never returned to check on us during our meal and the restaurant was not busy.

Best German food I ever got in the US.. Large potions with a real German flavor. German beer and wine. Large portions. Friendly inviroment.

The Bavarian Haus is out of business. The phone nuber is not working.

The new name is " Bavarian Restaurant Inc."

The previous owner came back and operate the business. He is also the cook. The latest 5 star ratings belongs not to the Bavarian Haus .
