FAB. Oh my word--I was a a cute little boutique just down the sidewalk and the associate said that if I didn't go to Piatti's I would be making a HUGE mistake. (I think she knew I could use a glass of Pinot!!) She was so on target--Piatti's is a charming restaurant--the cuneo salad is great--the seafood is wonderful!! I would never hae considered this to be a "mall" restaurant, but The Quarry is really special. You can tell there is a group of regulars, but I didn't feel like an outsider. I rejuvenated and went back to that little boutique--Apricot something--and spent aton of money on her cute items.

Great food, pretty surroundings, wonderful service. I love Piatti. The food is fresh, delicious and creative. The service is wonderful and the clientle is nice to be around. No kids, no noisy families...

Mostly a professional, upper crust crowd.

Nice wine and beer choices.

A NEW DAY!. After an extremely stressful day, walking into Piatti was an immediate turn around of my husband and I moods. From the moment we walked into the door, we could see that it was a very busy evening. The hostess immediately made eye contact and with a smile told us there would be a 15 minute wait. We decided to go to the bar as we waited and was supprisingly help quickly. After only waiting 10 minutes, a waiter informed us that our table was ready, grab our drinks, and guided us to our table. From there on we were confused to whom was our actual waiter but had the best dinner we've had in such a long time. As we left, the waiter opened the door and thanked us again. We can't wait to come back. Thank you Piatti for making our day better!!

Best Caesar salad. I'm a caesar snob - I admit it. not really, though I do like my caesars crisp, tangy, and just right. I was on such a mission last night and decided I'd give Piatti a try. They are not to far away and I like the Rivermark. Not only was my salad great but the warm bread and dipping oil is hard to beat. I only wish that their drink list was a litllemore "common folk" friendly but that's my only omplaint.

Terrible Customer Service. I went for lunch one day and the hostess left me standing there for 15 minutes. She never came back to ask me to wait for a table or offer another option. She just forgot about us. I then asked another person and he also left us standing there and the other guests entering the restaurant. Finally, the orginigal hostess comes back to inform me that they had no tables. She did not offer us to wait or give us a waiting time. She did not apologize for the wait she just stated there were no tables. Definitely not a welcoming experience. We left and ate at J. Alexander's (same area) and received great service.

Great Italian Food Finally. This is the best Italian in San Antonio. It was cooked fresh, the ingredients were excellent and I cant wait to go back. I am new to the city from Houston were there are so many great Italian places and put this one up there with all of them.

Best Italian in SA. We've been recommended a lot of "great" Italian places in SA, all of which have been dissapointing. We found this one in the Quarry and love it. The food is a bit pricey, but it is of high quality. I've actually never had anything here that has been less than great. The desserts are wondeful too. On a nice day the patio is a fun place to sit and people watch.

Wonderful outdoor dining. I love the outside tables. I can't think of another place where you can sit outside and not have to hear the street noise. Food is generally good, but try the mussels in the lobster sause, when it is on it is fantastic. Perhaps that is the one problem that I have with this restaurant, it is a bit inconsistent. We either have a bit of blah food or inattentive wait staff. When it all comes together, outside on a balmy day, wine in hand, a ton of mussels I'm in heaven.

Fresh bread, pasta and pesto take this shopping center locale to a higher level.. The Scene
Quarry shoppers and movie-goers of all ages come and go in a steady stream for Executive Chef Mike Davis' reliable Italian fare. High ceilings and widely spaced tables give the dining room an open, airy feel. Soft, even lighting shines down from hanging fixtures shaped like inverted flying saucers, adding to the sleek yet comfortable vibe.

The Food
An on-staff baker assures the freshest possible bread and pasta, and all pestos are also made in-house. The homemade goodness will leap out at you when you taste the bruschetta appetizer, with basil leaves, diced tomatoes, garlic, and basil pesto piled atop crunchy bread slices. Warning: may cause garlic breath. Another popular dish, fried calamari is served with a smoky, roasted tomato garlic sauce. The mesquite-grilled porko milano, a center cut pork loin, generously gives back all the flavor it absorbed during a full day marinating in basil pesto.

Upscale and Kewl. Don't go if you're looking to grab a slice and a coke before the movie. Go if you want to relax, savor the moment, experience wonderful cuisine served with percision and perfection. The wine list runs the gamut. The top shelf selection is also very impressive. This cozy joint won't break the budget, but will break your heart when you're significant other thanks you ( and thanks you and thanks you)
