San Antonio's Little Jewel

This is one of San Antonio's best! Quaint family owned restaurant with great service. The food was excellent, we had the best chcken nachos I've ever had and delicious fish tacos, and for desert a yummy banana empanada. I hghly recommend Beto's! Will definitely visit there again!

Much to my surprise the food was great. We had drinks, chips and salsa for starters. I had Chicken Poblano empanadas. The empanadas were excellent and of course should be. Empanadas is what this place is known for. The food is more like real Mexican food and not the Tex-Mex I usally eat. It is inexpensive and filling. I also had Mango with raspberry sauce empanadas for dessert. This dessert alone is worth going back for . With all this food I was stuffed and almost had to be rolled out of there.

• Cons: don't expect a lot of atmosphere
