Midas at 2424 Broadway - Trustworthy Shop. I consider myself to be fairly mechanically savvy so dealing with a new auto shop is something I approach with a healthy dose of suspicion until I get to check them out. Not having the time to do the job myself, I took my daughter's 2008 Ford Focus into Midas for new brake pads. I knew the rotors were still in good shape but at 62K miles I figured the pads had to be about gone. I dropped it off and waited for the phone call estimate. To my surprise they reported back that the pads still had meat on them and everything was in good shape. I know other shops would have been anxious to replace the pads and turn the rotors for a fat fee. Midas did the inspection for free. When I came back to the shop they had it on the rack all opened up so I could see the pads for myself. My hats off to Midas for the honesty they displayed. They have earned my trust and my future business. Nice to see there are still honest mechanics out there.
