The Jewell of Dinning in New Braunfels. Liberty Bistro captured my pallet with its Pan Roasted Lamb Dish. A symphony of flavors comes together in the hearty dish. The lamb was tender and savory and I enjoyed every bite. I look forward to coming back and trying the rack of lamb. It?s hard to find a restaurant that knows how to do lamb right, Liberty Bistro definitely has the touch to prepare a fine lamb dish. This place is a true treasure for New Braunfels and should not be missed. Great ambiance, art, and a very nice bar.
Pefect for a girls night out!!!. I went with a group of 6 girls & we all laughed and ate & throughly enjoyed ourselves!!!! We called a few days ahead to make reservations & they resevered a cute little private room for us! I was such a great way to spend an evening...I am not sure how you can't enjoy yourself here! Oh & had the steak -A-mazing!
Hot tip: a place to avoid - save your money and time.. We visited this place when it first opened and was disappointed. It's been several years and it was the restaurant one in our group chose as his birthday dinner restaurant. Our hungry group of 13 met here last night for appetizers, dinner, wine, specialty drinks, and desserts. What a huge mistake! Barbara and Brice were great. The menu was lack luster and the food? What can I say? It was not good and, considering what you got, it was pricey. One of my fellow diners ordered the lamb and, while he didn't want to complain, thought it was a bad piece of meat. Several of us tasted and confirmed that it had "turned." It was rotten and smelled. We brought the problem to our waiter, who jumped right in and took a sample tasting and agreed with us - a bad piece of lamb. The waiter told the owner who didn't care. The owner didn't offer a alternate dish, did not offer to reduce or discount the plate - didn't concern himself with making it right. Let me make it clear, we were NOT trying to get a free plate of food. To have my friend not be able to eat his entree was upsetting and it's my opinion that the owner's behavior was unforgivable. After dinner, another friend with our group spoke with the owner after we had paid for our meal and tipped our waiter, Brice. The owner would still not make it right! We will never return to eat there again - all 13 of us. If the owner is not interested in making it an enjoyable evening, we will happily take our business to other more deserving restaurants. Foodies beware!! Pass on this place and head to Huarache Grill or Morton's for your dining pleasures. This place serves up rotten food at high prices and expects you to eat it or tough luck. The customer isn't valued here. Forget this place.
Great Place to Eat in New Braunfels. We celebrated our first year anniversary at Liberty Bistro at the recommendation of the owners of a local bed and breakfast. The setting was historic, it is in the basement of an old courthouse with historical American themed photos everywhere, the service was top notch and the food was an epicurean delight. We started with an appetizer, Liberty House Spreads along with the perfect wine. Next came some amazing salads. My husband had the Freedom Filet, which he said was the best steak he ever had. My crab cakes were out of this world. My mouth still waters at the thought of that marvelous soufflé. The food was delicious, as well as perfectly heated, and served very promptly. The wait staff was delightful and friendly and seemed to enjoy serving us. The owner came by our table and cared about our dining experience. The prices for the entrees were very reasonable. Although I have visited New Braunfels several times, this was my first visit to the Liberty Bistro. It will not be my last. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so lovely and memorable. You've made a loyal customer of us and hopefully many others!
