Terrible service. A friend of mine had his truck at a Meineke car center located at 11307 Perrin Beitel. He had it towed over ther for repairs, they had a change in management and within 2 weeks the truck was missing. The owner states the vehicle just disapeared from his shop parking lot. The owner stated that it was probably in Mexico by now. The truck was undrivable that is why it was there. The truck had to be towed if moved and he says he knows nothing about it. He never contacted anyone about the truck and told the corp. office that he had made attempts to contact him with no answer. Now he is telling the truck owner that he is not responsible.

Editorial Review. More than just mufflers, services include brakes, steering, A/C and basic maintenance like oil change, tune-ups and tire rotation.

Owner's follow-up. JennaLee Ryan was a satisfied, repeat client of mine who brought her car to my shop to diagnose a "miss." The ASE certified tech found no malfunction codes stored in the car's computer and good plugs. Because of the low miles and the car's age, we recommended a fuel injection service as a starting point. JennaLee's husband called my manager and tore him a new one for ripping them off with a service that is a bunch of bul***it. JennaLee's car spewed out a load of black exhaust, thus evidencing the amount of deposits in her fuel system being cleaned out by the chemicals. We did tell her about another issue that could be causing the problem.

The Ryan's took their vehicle that afternoon and I never heard about the problem recurring until I noticed that she had put a "Stop Payment" on her check. Now, how am I supposed to fix her problem if she doesn't tell me? Since we had already told her that the service was a starting point, I would have gladly continued to diagnose the problem FOR FREE.

Why did JennaLee not give me the benefit of the doubt? I just wish she had spoken with me. I really liked her.

Now, in Texas, putting a Stop Payment on a check is theft and the Texas Property Code allows the worker to repossess the asset. It is unfortunate what happened to JennaLee's son and again, I really wish she would have spoken with me first.

Over 80% of my client base are repeat customers. We are the preferred auto repair shop for the city's largest non-military employer. We have a .0004% complaint ratio. Come on now, do you really think I victimize my clients?

Google this: "Consumer Reports John's Tool Box" to see what they say about fuel injector cleaning.

Also, the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP), a consumer watchdog organization, recommends a fuel system cleaning every 15k-18k miles.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE. (de zavala location)My experience here was a nightmare. My sons new (to him)car was "skipping", when i took it to Meineke on Dezavala I was told that the fuel injectors needed cleaning. It sounded hoaky to me...but what do i know? When I got home my husband laughed and said that I was getting robbed. he said that it sounded like the sparkplugs. I had left my son there with the car while it was repaired, and left them a check for 140.00 for the "repairs". When I got home my husband told me that it sounded like the sparkplugs, he said that i was b eing scammed.I called Meineke with my concerns and was told that "well if your husband is a mechanic....whgy dont you have HIM repair the car?" good point, i guess. The car was done at closing time, and my 16 year old son said that the second he pulled out of their driveway it began skipping again. I called them immediately, but of course, there was no answer. They were closed.UTo make a long story short, i took the car to the Lincoln dealership who immediately identified the problem as a sparkplug coil and repaired it. i looked up "fuel injector cleaning " online and found out that it is the biggest scam around...i put a stop payment on the check. When the owner Raphael called to ask me why i put the stop payment I explained. I said that i was more than happy to go to court and let a Judge decide. I never heard from him again

Three months later my sons car was repossesed. He had finals the next dayy and all of his study materials were in the car. i was in Calif. and had to pay $800 for a flight back the next day, as I was the only person that the car would be released to. I was forced to pay Meineke the $140 plus $30 for returned check fee PLUS $350 to the repo company. the owner of the repo company told me after hearing what happened, that they would no longer work with Meineke. Apparently I am not the only victim of Raphaels.I am filing a small claims c ase, and i will get my money back...but I wanted to warn others.
