Won't go back, I was interested in a large sofa and the women told me it probably would not fit in my house, she doesn't know me or where I live, she's a SNOB and I'm not sure how she stays in business. I bet any good comments on this site were made by her!!!!

Love this store!. When I first walked in I thought "wow" what a beautiful store filled with such unique, one-of-a kind furnishings and collectibles. My eyes scanned the store and their were so many goodies to look at......I did not know what to look at first! A couple of our neighborhood friends have furnished their homes with the help of the owners at Bygones and suggested I take a look. The store is set up like small snapshots of what you would see in Veranda or Architectural Digest. My friends suggested I bring pictures of our new home we recently bought to show Kaye and Tiffany. These ladies were awesome to work with! I mentioned my color scheme throughout the house and before I knew it they put together a beautiful living room for me. Now, I need to tackle the rest of the house.......can't wait to see what comes in next week!

Rude Owners. Went there yesterday to see if a piece of furniture was still there that I admired several weeks back. It was, so I inquired about the lay-away rules. I explained to the man behind the desk that my contractor might not finish in time to get it out of lay-away and could they keep it a few extra days. The man said, he needed to check with his mother and wife who were sitting near by. The older lady was not sympathetic and replied you can go ahead and take it now as it is easy to take apart and move. I explained that I did not want to take that chance since the workers might not be careful. The daughter (wife) spoke up and said "well you can come back when you need it and if it is not there well oh well." She was also busy playing with her child and did not even make eye contact. Overall the man obviously is not in charge and can't make decisions and the women are rude and totally disinterested in meeting their customer's needs. Not going back!

What a great find!. I have visited this store numerous times but only recently purchased a wonderful dining room table with a lazy susan I might add. The quality was excellent and the merchandise was listed at a great discounted price. I will certainly visit again soon. :)

Absolutely wonderful experience!. I absolutely love the people at Bygones! I needed an update from my current furnishings so I recently consigned some items I wanted to discard. Not only are they professional and knowledgeable, they are prompt and fair!

They sold my dining room table in less than a week!

I brought my mom, who has been a decorator for years in the Dallas area to help me pick out some things and she couldn't believe the quality and the prices!

My only advice, if you see something you want, you better get it right then, otherwise it will be gone!

Quality! Attentive! Knowledgable! First Class all the way!. We own a Consignment Shop here in Denton and we always look forward to visiting both Bygones locations here in San Antonio. The owners are both very knowledgable about not only the furnishings but also on how to make their showroom and also you home look very comfortably upscale. We have had nothing but great dealings with both locations and we look forward to our San Antonio visits mainly because of Bygones. We try to pattern our shop here in Denton, Consignments by Sally, after them... and we aspire to have as great a store as they, one day. Keep up the great work ladies and gents and don't let thoses stores that are lesser than you in both quality and knowledge put a single ding in your armour! Sincerely, Keith & Ron.

The Best Furniture Store in Town!. This is the BEST place to shop for furniture and accessories in town and they are a consignment store! Think about that. I have shopped at both their Broadway store and now Castle Hills for over ten years and have furnished two homes using many items from their stores. They are true professionals and simply the best at what they do.

Some of the other posts on this page are just way off the mark and don't represent my experience at all. The ladies at Bygones are the best at what they do and customers can only benefit from shopping there. They will never mislead you. They are expert business people who have stayed in business during all the ups and downs of the economy. The owner is an expert decorator and knows furniture inside and out. She will also sell your furniture. She is completely honest and you will get your money after your item sells without having to ask for it.

You will never find junk at Bygones. They only carry the best items. Just go to their store. It looks better than most retail stores and typically has more interesting items.

If you want to sell your fine furniture and accessories, Tiffany will come out to your house and discuss it with you. She will never mislead you. She will also arrange for pickup and delivery if you like. Their delivery people are also the best. I have never had a problem with anything purchased from Bygones. That's something that I can't say about some retail stores.

I suggest you go to either Bygones store and have your own great experience.

Get it now!. I have shopped at the N.W. Military and Broadway stores and have purchased several items at both. My experience has been delightful. The turnover is very fast, so it you see something you like, get it now! I learned the hard way. This is by far the best place in town for quality preowned furniture. Highly recommended.

Believe the comments below!. This store is a jewel, especially if you appreciate traditional furniture made by the best names in the industry. They carry accessories as well, from lamps and rugs, to art, china, and pillows. Unfortunately, the store is run by a woman who is impossibly rude and absolutely without class. My husband thinks she may have been important at one time, either socially or through her business and is desperately trying to reassert herself. She's unbelievably rude. I've been in the store and witnessed her outrageous comments and behavior towards customers. It's a struggle to purchase something and get out of the store without being insulted. I made a purchase once, using a credit card, which made her mad. So, for my next purchase I tried to write a check. Bad move. She implied that it would probably bounce and asked for another form of payment. I ended up using a debit card. My husband is a physician. My checks will not bounce, but I shouldn't have to explain this to anyone. The fact that this store remains open is a testament to how good her merchandise is. I go back and I make purchases despite that horrible woman. It's that good. Just be prepared. She seems to be slightly less abrasive if you walk in wearing a stethoscope or doctor's white coat, wear tennis or golf attire, or anything that connotes an upper class income, also she seems to be in a better mood if she hasn't been on a bender, but who knows her pattern of drinking. Sad.
