Dallas Legend finally makes it here.. H. Ross Perot's favorite place to eat in Big D. He used to have his own table at the one near his company. The meats are all slow cooked as true barbeque should be. The Brisket is the best. My only 'plaint is that they don't have their Pasta Salad down here yet. Still, this is THE best barbeque in town.…
Dallas based chain is the real deal!.
Do your homework on this one...I've had many friends and neighbors call me out on Dickey's, saying it was too expensive or that they didn't think it was outstanding. If you like Bill Millers and the
rest of those average San Antonio BBQ places then you may agree. Look, I like Bill Miller too, but don't you want to try something new for a change? On Mondays, you can get their pulled pork sandwich for a buck...yes, $1. Kids eat free always (with adult purchase). We go with our 2 kids and get 4 meals (with leftovers) for $12. Heaping plates of brisket, a pickle/onion bar, a sauce bar, unlimitede refills, and free ice cream. Now, you could easily spend $40 for 4 people also, so be smart and study the menu first. The cashier willjust ring up he kids' meals, so you have to remind them that they are free. They always play dumb like they didn't know. I'm not sure if they are told to do this or really are that stupid (judging by the tattoos on most of their workers, I think they really are just that stupid).
So, why 5 stars when their employees' collective IQ is less than Ginobili's free throw percentage? Because of all the side choices (jalapeno beans are the bomb, as is the caesar side salad) and the chopped brisket sandwich. The first enticing smoky pit smell that splashes you in the face when first entering is enough to make your taste buds salivate. And unlike Grady's BBQ, that pitsmoke smell will not attach itself to your clothing for te rest of the day.…
