Gina at Hair Island is THE BEST!! If you are someone that is very particular about your hair go to Gina. This is the second time she has cut my hair.....and she gives great tips about different things you can do, if you need to see how to make your hair look like it has more volume, etc. It was also the first time she colored my hair. I also get highlights but on this trip only needed a root touch-up....she was AWESOME....if you don't think the hair color is right she will offer to redo it with no complaints....she wants her customers happy!! I cannot recommend her enough.

Hair Island. I love going to Hair Island! The people there are friendly and nice. Only thing that really isn't too great is the prices! It's like $99 just for a facial! And also if the gave manicures, they would make a lot more money!

Beware!!Lauren CAN NOT cut hair!!!!!. I walked into hair island with hair flowing down to my waist line. I wanted a massive trim to get rid of all my dead ends. Which would have been a two inch cut at most. When I walked in lauren was the only stylist available. She seemed nice enough. I explained I'd been growing my hair out for 4yrs through both of my pregnancies. I told her I liked my hair long and that my husband appreciates long hair on a woman too. When I sat in her chair she started chopping my hair away quick! She was as happy as a kid in a candy store. She started to cut my hair even with my shoulders. Thats when I asked do u plan on cutting my hair to my shoulders. Thats not how I wanted my hair cut. She said no and proceeded to cut. I left with layered hair. My shorted layer being just at my jaw line on the right side of my face and just at my shoulders on the lefts side. My longest layer just under my shoulder. She cut 4 1/2 inches off my hair!! and it was and inch uneven on both sides. I went to two other stylist to see how much more hair I would lose to correct her mistakes. Turns out my hair will have to be cut to my shoulders otherwise I can wear it uneven for about a year and cut it all off one length. Lauren claims to have cut hair for 6 years. However she can't cut even hair and she ignores the rule all professionals stylist use. Cut an inch at a time and continously ask ur customer if the are comfortable with that length. I feel like lauren cut my hair however she felt it needed to be cut. Lauren is an awful stylist. Unless u prefer short choppy, uneven hair stay clear of lauren. Lauren **CAN NOT** cut hair. One last note, the manager isn't even a hair stylist, she's esthetician. BEWARE of hair island.
