excellent service; exceptional food!. My husband and I have a wonderful time every time we dine at Paesanos on the riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. The atmosphere is cool and ecclectic, warm and inviting all in the same, and the servers obviously take pride in working for a San Antonio landmark! I suggest any daily dinner feature coupled with the giant calamari appetizer or the hearts of palm salad, but the Shrimp Paesano is my absolute favorite dish with light and crisply prepared shrimp, a beautiful cream sauce tossed with pasta, and I like to add capers or spinach. The wine selection appeals to any taste, and I will continue to suggest this one of a kind experience to any one of my friends, family and colleagues. Thank you for a lovely dining experience every time!

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I went to dinner with a few friends at the Riverwalk and in the middle of ordering drinks we found out the rest of our group wanted to join us for dinner, so we let the manager know this. We asked to move tables to a bigger one to accommodate which seemed fine. Not only was our server rude from the get go, he rolled his eyes to our face twice, was inattentive, and his fellow servers made us feel disrespected. I personally am a server, bartender, and server trainer and am in shock that anyone could be in this industry and be so blatantly rude to the people that he is waiting on. To top it off, two of his fellow servers were talking about us within earshot of us. To quote, "get them out as fast as you can" and then the other showing a hand gesture that represented something very inappropriate and disrespectful. Again, I work in the industry, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that all of this is being directed and said right in our presence. After telling the manager we were no longer going to be dining there and he could cancel our order, he never once apologized for the awful service and treatment we received. Without needing to say it, we will never ever return to that establishment nor any other sister restaurant of it. It was the worst experience I have ever had while dining anywhere in the world.
