Don't Order the Special!. We had a full table of people, and four of us ordered the filet mignon special. Don't make this mistake! While the other members of our party enjoyed their food, the four of us experienced meat with a strange taste. Although I only ate two bites, evidently that was enough to make me ill for the next several days.

The waiter was wonderful throughout the entire ordeal, and the manager compensated us for the embarrassing problem. However, I will never eat at this restaurant again, and I will warn others about it as well.

Did the chef get any formal training?. My wife and I decided to go here on a date, and I must say it was utterly disappointing. It was one of the few restaurants on the riverwalk with open tables, and now it makes sense.

The $34 Filet Mignon was recommended to be cooked Medium-well to Well done. This should be (and in our case, was) a red flag to anyone that actually enjoys anything resembling good food. Once we saw this on the menu, we decided that the 2 drinks we ordered plus a spinach artichoke dip should be enough to get us full enough to go to a different restaurant.

However, this assumption too was a bit off base. The artichoke dip was made with canned artichokes and was completely over cooked. There was a layer of burnt creme on the top of the dip that was impenetrable by anything resembling a tortilla chip, let alone the stale excuse for tortilla chips we were served.

The only redeeming quality of this place is the bartender, Adam. He was extremely friendly and actually made the experience somewhat enjoyable. So my recommendation if you ever find yourself here...just wait for one of the other restaurants. There's a reason no one eats here...not even the tourists.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Margaritas were terrible and took 25 minutes to be served despite the fact that the bar was not very busy.

Once seated, our drinks NEVER CAME! We had to go get water from the bar and refills too.

Food was okay-but the nachos were soggy and clearly had been sitting under a warmer while the other entrees were prepared. Our food took 45 minutes to come and when the entree salad arrived it didn't even have the meat on it, as was listed on the menu. Was disaster after another. Tipping is layed out on the receipt for you-what a joke! Tipping suggests that one works in the service industry--service at this restaurant was ridiculous!!

Ranchero Sauce. I have been here every year for 20 years, I come especially for the breakfast buffet. I love the ranchero sauce and have repeatedly asked for the recipe. Finally after 20 years did the chef give it to me. He knows that I am dedicated and come only for that. The staff is incredible. Have stayed at several hotels on the River Walk and always keep going back to this becaue you always feel special and like family. I live on the east coast and every time I make this breakfast I think of My life in San Antonio, and know that some day I will live there. Kudos to those who live and work in this town, and to the chefs of Ibiza. I am proud to say I have had the best meals of my life there.

Stay away from the buffet!!. Contrary to popular belief, the Ibiza breakfast buffet ain't all it's cracked up to be. My wife and I decided to try it out this past weekend and what a disappointment. The eggs were disgustingly runny, the waffles were chewey, bacon was drenched in vile grease, and the biscuits & gravy, well, I think they kitchen decided to empty the grease trap that morning and make the contents into gravy to save a few bucks. It took two brushings of the teeth and 5 hours to get that taste out of my mouth. All this for $20 per person?? And to top it off, the food was less than agreeable with my stomach. My tour of the Alamo resulted in my own battle re-enactment. But this battle was fought in the Alamo's restroom facility and it wasn't Davy Crockett and the boys fighting off the overwhelming forces of Santa Ana's army... it was my bowels fighting off the overwhelming forces of the Ibiza breakfast buffet.

Great food on a very busy night. We were staying at the Hilton and there must have been a big convention starting up because every place was jammed full. We ate at Ibiza and it was excellent. Over all we were very pleased with the meal and will eat there again if we are in San Antonio. Our meal for 4 with wine and 2 steakes ran just over $100 with tax. We also had breakfast there one morning. Very good quality but pricey. We ate at a local diner other mornings for much better value. Compared to other Riverwalk restaurants, Ibiza was not jam packed with tables.

Hotel restaurant with decor much wilder than its menu.. In Short
It's not the image most hotel restaurants cultivate, but Ibiza works hard to emulate its namesake island's Euro-disco look. Walls covered in neon shapes resembling a cross between Matisse-gone-techno and radioactive amoebas go a long way toward making you forget that this restaurant is attached to the Hilton. Menu choices are varied, ranging from prime rib to pizza to enchiladas. And while the food won't make you light up like the surrounding neon, it doesn't lack flavor.

Breakfast Blintzes to Die For!!. My husband and I ate the breakfast buffet at Ibiza on our first wedding anniversary. Now every time we are in San Antonio we make it a point to go to Ibiza for breakfast. The cheese Blintzes are the best I have ever eaten. It's a bit pricy for the buffet but I feel it is worth it.

Jammin. This restaurant was absolutely fabulous. We went in with a group of about 16 people and they seated us within 10 minutes and we enjoyed excellent music. The food was not that great but the drinks and the music was fabulous.
