New Managment, New Service, New Customer. I stopped by this Sonic Drive In twice last week, on Friday and Saturday. Normally I go to the Sonic on 3009 but the traffic was bad so I diverted to this one instead. The had my order out quickly, the food was just like I wanted it, and my drink was blended perfectly. Just after I ordered one of the managers came out, she didnt' have a name tag on her shirt or her hat but she introduced herself, shook my hand and offered me mints or napkins. If that wasn't enough she asked after my food, if I had everything I needed and if there was anything she could do to improve my visit. There wasn't but that's pretty unusual, normally you have to beg for a manager. On Saturday I saw here again, this time I went because I wanted good hot food. There was a mistake, but once I called inside to ask they fix it, that same manager came out with the sauces within a minute. I've never had better service and I've never seen managment among the customers unless we beg for them. These people care, they love their work, and most of all they own their errors and make them right, fast. If you are going to Sonic, go here. It's out of my way but I'll go out of my way since they go out of theirs.
Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain..
In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
