The technician arrived exactly when he said he would and fed me informative information. What a good way to represent your company! Champion AC is a breath of fresh air when considering the air conditioning repair industry. Thanks guys
PoorService - Left Old Parts in My Attic.
Initially I was very impressed with the response when my AC went out especially when they sent a technician over on a Friday night to adjust the repair since I had a house full of kids for a sleep over birthday party. However, I found out they left all the old parts in my attic from the technician. He said they would contact me the next week to remove the items because it wasn?t the level of work Champion did.
Well, I never heard from them and I?ve called several times to report the issue and they?ve never called back. So if they do work at your house make sure you take the time to inspect the work area to ensure they remove the old parts. Don?t be fooled with their over concern with sweeping the floor. I wouldn?t recommend them to anyone now.
AC Repair in San Antonio.
We had an Air Conditioning problem over the weekend and the company that normally services my system dropped the ball, so I gave Champion AC an opportunity. Roy Salinas was the technician that repaired my AC and he was fantastic.
He ended up getting to the house an hour and a half after I called them and he was very professional. After 20 minutes of diagnosing my air conditioner he explained that the capacitor (spelling) was the problem and replaced it immediately.
I was thrilled with the price and service and have already recommended Champion AC to some of my family members who get annual service for their AC. These guys are top notch and have great employees. Highly recommended!
Highly Dissatisfied Customer - Never Again.
**BUYER BEWARE *** AC went out Thur night right before the Memorial Day weekend. Called *Champion AC, and almost 4 hours later a tech arrived. Told him that we noticed no AC and shut the unit off, ... he said " Good because if you hadn't it would have burned out the motor". $269.00 later, he reset the thermostat on 66 and and said let it run to get the house cooled down. The next morning we realized we STILL had no AC. Now, its Friday...and after repeated calls to the office, a tech comes back to the house somewhere near 5PM. He informs us that we now need a motor!!
We call Saturday morning to find out when he is returning to install the motor. We are told its to late to get one from the warehouse, we are screwed until Tuesday after the Holiday weekend. Now its Tues, ... and once again, We call the office for the time the tech will be here. We are told between 3 and 4PM. No priority given whatsoever and they still havent shown up!! BUYER BEWARE, of this company ... if you have disposable cash, call them, if you want "good customer service and a satisfactory job done -DO NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention it's been 100 degrees every day of this 6 day issue??
Wouldn't fix it... wanted to sell me new. OK.. I came to citysearch to find a company that people trusted and recommended. Champion A/C appeared the best. So I called them. They came out fast (plus) My inside unit had been freezing up and finally I had no cold air at all. When they came out they told me I had a freon leak and immediately said R22 is no longer available and you need a new system. Being gullible, I had the young man give me a quote for new systems. I was now in a panic because I couldn't afford new. When they left I cried for a long while wondering what we were going to do. I did some research and soon found that R22 was available but going up in price. The next day the manager called me to give me a discount on the new systems because my husband is a Purple Heart Vietnam vet.(nice gesture) I explained that I really needed just a repair and he said he could send someone out to give me an estimate. In the meantime, I had called another company to come out. They diagnosed the leak and told me it could be fixed for $507.00 WTH.. When Champion comes back out and give me an estimate (at no charge) for the repair, they send the same guy back out again and AGAIN he refuses to fix it, saying sorry, I won't do that to you. You need a new system and still doesn't leave me estimate to repair. He pumps a bunch of R22 into the system so it will be cold, but still leaking and leaves. (no charge for the R22 - that is not supposed to be available) It must be nice in this economy to turn away business. I finally called Sears and they came out and fixed it for $410.00. They were there for an hour and fix the leak at the compressor and took about an hour to complete the work. System is running beautifully. (BTW my system was installed 3/20/2003 it's only 10 years old) I was initially impressed with Champion, and quickly became disappointed. I'm glad others had a good experience. Mine was not - even though I wanted it to be.
WOW----what a great company. My rental property's compressor went out earlier this year---had to buy a new one and Champion's made it out THAT day---sticker shock of course, but they even gave me a bit of a refund after the quoted price didn't match the sales price---Debbie is AWESOME! Now to replace coils---3 months later, Michael came by and gave me a quote--12 months interest free finance---what a great deal. Champion is now my GO-TO company for servicing my rental property---thanks so much for making a painful purchase a little easier on our wallets!~
Didn't make it past the initial contact.
This morning I made a call to this business. I dialed the number and waited for someone to answer the phone.
When a young lady answered the phone I hear, "hello." She sounded half asleep so I assumed that I dialed the wrong number.
So I ask, "Hello, I was trying to reach champion air conditioning. Did I dial the wrong number?”
"No, this is Champion."
(Long pause)
So I go ahead and say to this woman, "Ok, I wanted to know what I have to do to have you guys come out and service my air conditioner."
Her response, "Ask."
I went ahead and let her know I would be going with someone else. It appears from the other reviews that these company has a very good rating with customer service and repair, but I couldn't get pass the initial contact so I went with someone else.
That company answered the phone and said, "Hi, thanks for calling _________. How can we help you today?"
We truly apologize for your experience with our team yesterday morning. We are getting better everyday, but we do fall short at times. Hopefully you can eventually forgive us and give us another opportunity in the future. Have a great week and thanks for your feedback.

AC Service. Their management is very professional and strive to ensure you are satisfied with their service.
Good Company. My husband and I knew we were going to need a new furnace, but we thought we could wait till next year. To our suprise it couldnt wait, especially with this years winter. We called 4 companies and got quotes from all 4. We decided to go with this company because they took us step by step on what we needed and why. The others just gave us an invoice and left. After the furnace was installed they called us back just to make sure everything was working correctly, you dont get that kind of service anymore. Charles was great! I greatly recommend this company.
Kate-
Thank you for taking the time to recommend our company. We are thankful for your business and appreciate any and all feedback. Have a cool summer.
San Antonio's premier heating and air conditioning company!. Great customer support through the entire process! We changed our air conditioning system last week and Champion A/C did a really great job. We got several estimates from local companies and Champion just did the best job communicating with us. Our house is more comfortable than ever before and we finally have air filtration systems that eliminate allergies and airborne viruses. If any of you are looking to replace your air conditioning system then this is definitely the company to use. They will make sure that your duct work is assembled correctly and they even added some insulation in our attic. We are very anxious to see how this new system is going to lower our CPS bill.
