Once home to the World Champion Spurs, now host to endless concerts and events..
In Short
The Alamodome boasts the very latest in dome engineering with column-free expanses, hundreds of video monitors and full accessibility for disabled visitors. It's a multipurpose facility that seats up to 65,000 and is expandable to 72,000-plus seats. The Dome hosts college football's Alamo Bowl and serves as location for everything from concerts to trade shows and various sporting events.
Bad Arena. The seats aren't bad if you are under 5' 9" and you have no additional weight or muscle on you. My guy is 6' 4" and built like a football player. He had to sit on the edge of his seat and extend his bent legs to the sides so that he could fit them behind the seats in front of him. Anyone with any bulk does not fit in the seats...as seen in the many uncomfortable fans that stood on the stair wells for the entire game. With so many people standing it was hard to see what was going on down on the field. More then half the concession stands were closed and those that were open only served part of the menu offerings. Parking was the best part, it was nearby and inexpensive.
