I've been going to this bar for some time now and always enjoy cheap beer in a chill atmosphere.
The dingy interior promises cheap, cold longnecks and bilingual late-night conversations.

The crowd at Bar America is diverse: Art guys from the Blue Star complex, cash-strapped students and working-class folks from nearby neighborhoods. Count on mostly domestic beer with prices left over from the dark ages, which makes this a favorite stop for late-night partying on a budget. No food is served--only beer, wine and packaged chips and nuts--but the jukebox and pool tables will keep you occupied.
