User Reviews for La Fiesta Supermarket

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

When I first walked into the store I only wanted to get a few things. I thought I was going to be standing in line forever because there were only two cashiers. The lines moved much faster than I thought and the girl was very nice and talked to me directly. I left the store with a lot more than I planned because they had so many good deals. I saved a lot of money there, and the customer service was great. I will definitely go back there again.

I am a General Manager of a movie theatre at the Rivercenter Mall. I went to the La Fiesta store to buy stamps and pick up candy for my employees who where going through customer service training. I asked an emplyee if her line was open and she gave me a go to the devil look and said no. So I waited in another line. The cashier told me the other line WAS open. I told her the girl said she was closed. The girl got defensive and with attitude said she couldn't work on that register because it wasn't hers. I was fine with that and continued to wait in line. The cashier told me to go to the other line. I stepped over and a boy waited on me. The girl stepped over beside me and started talking to the boy. He was distracted and ignored me. The manager looked over at us and I pointed to the 2 talking and I said, "this is very unprofessional." The girl said, "whatever!" After I paid I stepped over to the manager and told him I thought he should know that this was very unprofessional behavior from an employee and that the girl was rude. The girl started in at me again, with attitude, saying it wasn't her register. I told the manager she shouldn't even be in our conversation and he said, "Ma'am, what you have to understand is that these kids on this side of town can't help it. They don't know when to keep their mouths shut." I was floored at his response! I said, "Really? I work on this side of town and my employees are kids from this side of town but they would never speak to one of our customers so disrespectfully because they know they would be terminated!" I think the difference between my employees and the employees of this store are the expectations. You can't expect employees to be nice to your customers if you don't care how they treat your customers in the first place. This manager needs customer service training and to set expectations instead of letting his staff treat people disrespectfully. Whatever happened to the Golden Rule???

Pros: It's a grocery store.

Cons: Terrible customer service.
