Wow, I am honestly shocked at all the horrible reviews of Twin Sisters. I am in town on business and the place came very highly recommended by a coworker, so I paid a visit both yesterday and today to the Broadway location. While it was true that I had to wait a little bit for a server to take my order on my first visit, the place was packed both times because I had come in during the lunch hour. No one was rude to me, the food arrived quickly and tasted wonderful. I plan on returning many more times before I leave, and will miss it when I go back home!
Pros: Yummy chicken tortilla soup and grilled cheese. Latte is pretty good too. Friendly staff, fast service.
Cons: A tad pricey for the amount of food you get, but still satisfying.

K, I thought, this place looks pretty good, since it's kinda in a nice area (09) San Antonio and was packed. So once again the crowds prove that most people are totally insane and can't even taste their food. First thing I notice is that it's 'trendy' I mean your going to get fare that's a little light in the loafers ifn you get my drift. Second, the beverage choices were regular tea or raspberry which should have set off the real man alarm to get the HE double goal posts out of there. So I start looking over the menu, and nothing looks real, tofu this, watercress that, and the only thing I could see halfway resembling real food was the rubbed seasoned turkey burger with red skin potatoes. I wait eagerly while many stick thin fruits gaze upon the freak show before them, a fat middle aged man with a blackberry 8800 dressed in cheap clothes. Not to be deterred my waiter finally brings the faux burger, and I notice the red skin on the potatoes has turned black., which where I come from is called burnt. Well hopefully the burger would make up for that, but NOOOOOOOOO. The burger tasted and smelled like someone had rubbed dried ground dog shite on it. I mean it was stank. I still thought, well maybe it's a trendy kind of seasoning and managed to force the rest down. I'm sorry I did, cause I then felt like upchucking for several days after. My beef is, Don't go where they serve faux beef to insane people. Not worthy of one star, but that's the lowest I can give it.
Pros: Zilch
Cons: Just give it a whirl, it will make you hurl

This is for the restaurant with the same name on Broadway. The food and service are horrible, don't go there. My friends and I went to this establishment for lunch on August 18th. When we first walked in, the young lady at the front register was very short with us and dismissive, like we were ruining her day even coming in the door. Once we received our food, one of my friends got violently ill after only taking a few bites of her meal. She ran into the restroom, but she still ended up making a mess. I told the young lady who we first met when we came in the door that my friend got sick and there was a mess in the bathroom. The girl rolled her eyes and said "ok". We went back to our seats where we were comforting our friend, when an older woman came up to us demanding to know who got sick in the bathroom. My friend said she did, at which point the lady motioned her back to the restroom and demanded she clean up the mess herself. My other friend and I confronted the women, who continued to be rude and told us to get out of the restaurant. We ended up telling the woman we refuse to pay for the food, which had more than likely made my other friend sick, and we left.

I read the negative reviews but a friend wanted to go here. we went. When I walked in I was politely greeted. When the waitress came she was friendly and fun. She recommended some stuff, and it was GREAT!
Pros: good food nice service
Cons: hard to park

I am not sure what the previous person said about the owners and am not even sure who the owners are. I have been there many times and have yet to be treated rudely like they said. The people there are very nice as long as you are not rude or make snide comments to them(not like I would). I am not funky or weird but I LOVE the food and the Twin Sister's ambiance is different but fun. My food is most often prompt only rarely when the whole place is packed does it take 20 minutes. Maybe people need to be a little less rude to people that handle their food and enjoy time spent in a place that you wouldn't normally be in. Twin Sister's is great for healthy food that tastes great.
Pros: FOOD!!!!!!!!
Cons: Parking during the week at lunch and dinner

Wow. I am amazed that an actual owner would be so rude. Currently the cafe is owned by two sisters, Pat and Carol. You will know which one is which by Carol's HORRIBLE attitude. I visited recently and was let down by the food and even more appalled by this womans blunt and pretentious attitude. While I was eating I even overheard her talking to one of her employees like they were dirt underneath her feet. I will never go back to this cafe and would advise others to do the same. With an owner like this, I can not imagine they will be in business much longer.
Pros: Cheap food
Cons: OWNERS!

I used to go to Twin Sisters once a week when I was in college in S.A. So, when I was down in S.A. on business about a month ago, I took a colleague to Twin Sisters, after raving about how good it was and how much I missed this charming eatery. Well, it took over 30 mins. for our food to arrive, so I nicely asked the waitress if something had happened to our order. She SNAPPED at me very rudely and was quite grouchy to us for the rest of the time we were there. The Greek salad arrived without feta cheese (isn't that one of the main ingredients?) and she never refilled our tea glasses. We then had to wait an eternity for our check. I've never received such bad service anywhere. Food was still yummy, but I won't be coming back.
Pros: Good food, vegetarian options, Funky decor
Cons: Bitchy waitstaff, SLOW, unfriendly

Service: A monument to incompetence. TS is living proof that rude third year art school dropouts will never rule the planet. Took about an hour to get food on the table. Atmosphere: Great place for eight cylinder / six figure income types to come wear their Tevas and feel hip and arty. Eating at TS will make you cool about as much as going to church will restore your virginity. Austin-like eatery?: TS is a poseur knockoff - not the real deal. Enchiladas: Is catsup ingredient X in their sauce? I had enchiladas like this once at a truck stop in South Dakota - not up to snuff for South Texas. Tortilla Soup: This dish is "usually" served with avocado and chicken - not here - tasted like dish water laced with tomato paste.
Pros: Real commitment to or

My friends and I, four of us out-of-towners, decided to try Twin Sisters for brunch. And while I wish I could comment on the food, I did not get the chance. After waiting 10 minutes, my fiancee finally got the attention of a server--after that server rudely waved off her initial attempt. We were curtly told that breakfast was not being served and then waited another 10 minutes before we decided to leave. At no point were we given silverware or water or even acknowledged. We opted for the IHOP down the street. Definitely skips Twin Sisters.
Cons: Rude wait staff, Non-existent service

I recently had lunch at Twin Sister's Restaurant. My caeser salad had a very bitter, unpleasant taste to it. I do not usually complain about food at a restaurant, but this time was an exception. I icourteously nformed the waitress of the taste. She offered no options i(i.e. bringing another salad). I then told the woman at the cash register at the time of payment. She was not courteous, did not offer any solution, and only said that she would "go taste it" in the kitchen. Whatever happened to the customer being important? I was greatly disappointed and will not plan on eating there again. Service is just as important as the food; in this case, neither passed.
