We went to Silo's for our anniversary and loved it. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was A+. From presentation, to service, to ambiance. This is a great cross between fine dining and cool lounging. The restaurant is lit just right for a romantic evening and the lounge is perfect for that after dinner drink and to relax. The wait staff was extremely courteous and professional. The menu was great and the surf and turf was just perfect. The lunch prices are significantly cheaper than the dinner prices but either is worth every penny!! Dinner for my wife and I with appetizers, two entrees, dessert, and one drink each was about $160. Thanks for a memorable night of fun, relaxation, and fine dining.
Pros: To many to list...
Cons: None

Have been a customer for 2 years and visit 1604 for lunch at least 4 time per month. What happened to the NY steak? Last few have not been the same. Soup, Salad and 1/2 club is wonderful. My firm partners enjoy a quick and quality lunch and often dine with our wifes on the weekend. Will still enjoy a light lunch, but prefer the NY Steak at Kirby's. Service is the best in town. Rick T.

Personally I will never go back to this restaurant, the food was ok, the service was horrible right from the get go w/ the hostess being plain rude. My word of advice, if the hostess hates her job that much, just quit!!!!!!!!! I will never go there again, I should have known from the beginning when I called to setup a reservation I received the worst customer service ever. I receive better treat at MCdonalds! Stay away from it. Avoid it at all costs.
Pros: good location
Cons: worst service ever

My husband and I went there on a Friday night as a "date night" and had a wonderfull time! We dined at the 1604 location and it was just lovely. we have been to the other location on Austin highway many times and have always enjoyed it. Our server, Karen, was very attentive, very sweet, and knowledgable about the food and wine. The food presentation was unbelievable and tasted just as great as it looked. It can be a little nosiey on the weekends, but well worth it! I would definetly reccomend this place to all my friends!
Pros: Service, Food, Wine
Cons: Noise

I don't know if the food is good or not. We were kept waiting in the bar for so long, we gave up and left before being seated. We went in the middle of the week without reservations but were told we would be seated shortly...it never happened. I would be willing to try again with reservations if the staff had been friendlier, but that won't happen now. The only thing we found to be elevated about Silo's were the staff's noses.

I lived and worked in New York for four years and I would have to say, the food at Silo compares with some of the better restaurants I dined in while there. My only complaint is that along with the great food came the snobbish atmosphere found at some eateries up north. I'd like to leave the NYC snobbery where I left it, in NY. If you are looking for a relaxed San Antonio dining experience, you may be disappointed when you are met with a SOHO attitude. I would honestly put up with it again to have the food. The steaks were fantastic, the wine list is extensive, and my salmon was out of this world.
Pros: delicious food
Cons: snobby patrons

The food is always amazing. Service is good. Great place for a nice lunch too and less expensive at lunch time as well. Smaller dining area, so it can fill up quick. I recommend reservations.
Pros: Food is unique and delicious.
Cons: A little pricey.

Brilliant! The Austin Hwy location has a great industrial feel to it, with some of the best artwork hanging all about the lower level of the building. When you head up in the elevator, you really don't know what to expect. When the doors open, it is amazing! The courteous staff are wonderful and every table is a great seat. The place even smells absolutely amazing. The food is melt in your mouth out of this world! They have quite a wide variety of tastey treats including a mouth watering chocolate souffle! Just remember to order that upon arrival as it takes a while to make. They also have a Northside location (1604 & Blanco) that is even more lovely (if you can believe that)! All in all Silo is where it's at! If you want to have a romantic night out, its perfect! If you want to impress relatives, business associates...etc. Silo is where you want to take them.
Pros: everything!
Cons: not a one

Eating at this restaurant definitely put a damper on a very important night. We reserved a table for a large party. Half th party arrived early and half arrived a few minutes late. The hostess claimed there was no record of our reservation and made us wait for over 20 minutes while the rest of the party was upstairs AT THE TABLE. To make matters worse she gave us rude looks and acted like we did not have reservations. The manager did NOTHING to rectify this situation. The restaurant was quite noisy which made it difficult to have normal conversations. To add insult to injury, one dinner plate was dropped on the floor. I did not receive any food until the rest of the party had already completed the meal. While the food was very delicious, the staff certainly has a long way to go.
Pros: Good to see and be seen.
Cons: Horrible service
