Best Place to buy music

Looking for original hard to find band stickers? This is the place. Don't go to those over priced corporate places near the malls, just don't do it. Why spend $20 on a cd when you can buy it for $10-$15 here? I bet you won't walk out with just one item. Support your local Record Store!

One Of The Last Great Indies

As one who who worked as a rock jock all over the country during the 70's it's refreshing to see an independent record store such as this. The big chains refuse to special order anything,and employ teenie bopper idiots who don't know music from shinola (thats putting it nicely). The people at Hogwild are the most knowledgeable and helpful. The in store stock is excellent and if you need a rare or out stock item just ask.

We need more stores like this!

kick ass place to go!

this place is totally awesome. great service. kik ass selection of all kinds of music.. and some kool shirts too.. and if they dont have the size you want.. they'll order it for you and call you when they get it!! nice place to hang out before or after a show at the sanctuary.. if you havent gone here... you should.. you wont regret it.

Very good selection of hispanic music

this is de best independent music store in town..I saw the store for many years, but I never had got the chance to get it there until about a year ago..I always though it was some havey metal, or dark place for all the stickers and posters in the front...but as soon you walk into the store, you have a sense of good vibes...I was looking for a cd in spanish that I couldn't find anywhere else, and I never though I could find it there...to my sorprise they had the best collection of cds in spanish....it's not the largest, but it is the one with the best music, plus they have t-shirts of latin bands, and even magazines, and to my sorprise if they don't have the cd you are looking for, you can order it, and they'll bring it for you.....that's a very cool thing.

Wallow in a fine music selection and independent atmosphere.

Wide Open

The bumper-stickered front door stays open most evenings when the weather is nice--another of the small differences that sets Hogwild apart from the massive music store conglomerates who have almost cornered the used-CD market.

Still Indie

One of the last independent record shops in San Antonio, Hogwild blends personality into its disc selection, both new and used, and seems to attract the same in its clientele, a fact that could easily be contributed to the store's proximity to San Antonio College.

Just Ask

Infinitely less conformed and corporate than other alternatives, Hogwild employees seem to have the remarkable ability of knowing exactly what they're talking about while completely avoiding the appearance of work. Despite this somewhat mysterious conundrum, the bins remain stocked, discs can be special ordered, and the music revolution continues.
