Great For Saturday Lunches

My friends and I decided to try this place out after an SAT one Saturday. It was a gorgeous day, and W.D. Deli was a great place to eat outside. The service was good, and the people that worked there were super friendly. There are many different sandwiches to choose from, and the cookies are great. Since then, we have made WD Deli a Saturday tradition, especially after testing. Make sure to sit upstairs at least once on a sunny day -- great atmosphere and fun place to go with friends to chat and be lively.

One of the best delis around!

My brother works here and I have to say the food is amazing! I myself am a huge fan of local eateries, especially delis. This one is awesome! The food is fresh, the ingredients are healthy. The decor makes you feel at home, and the cookies are to die for! First impressions count and WD deli surpassed my expectations! I'm hooked! :) The owner is really cool and very nice too.

The Food

From the off-beat wall hangings, to the counterculture staff, to the heavy use of avocado, W D Deli nurtures a pleasantly mild San Francisco sensibility with a Texas twist. The airy and tangy sourdough bread enlivens whatever you stick between it, whether it's thinly-sliced ham or the vegetarian delight of avocado and cream cheese. Add the softly spiced, cheese-topped chicken tortilla soup and you have the perfect lunch.

The Scene

The staff of W D Deli may very well be psychic. Even during the most crushing of rushes, they'll have your order ready so fast that you'll swear they knew you were coming. This other-worldly speediness, along with a totally groovy patio, attracts business lunchers en masse who have tastes too refined for Mickey Dee's. Enjoy a bowl of thin but punch-packing black bean soup and finish up with a crunchy homemade snickerdoodle cookie, and you'll have just the recharge you need.
