I went to this resale shop a number of years ago. My daughter is nine now.I think she was about 1 when I attempted to take some things for consignment there. I only went once. The folks there were pretty rude. I had never been to a cosignment or resale store before so I had no expectations. I am a germ freak and I have a bit of OCD in regards to clean clothes and clean children. They made me feel like I was the nastiest mom in san antonio when I tried to resale some items. I left in near tears never to return again. They were so rude and I almost had to wait over 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence in the store. I was patient through the process though. Now some years later I just cleaned out both my kids closets. I have been taking tons of items to goodwill or donating to the local children's home for the past 4 years. I thought why not try to earn a few extra bucks for a change but Im afraid to spend $3.49 per gallon of gas to drive across town to be humilated again. i dont know of any other resale stores for kids clothes though. I am hoping that the few good reviews that I have seen posted in the last month or two are accurate accounts of their store experience. Maybe I will give a shot again..................
Cons: not the best customer service

I think the people writing bad reviews for Kids Junction must really have some personal issues. I go there often to buy and sell and so do alot of my friends. All the womens meetings I attend there is alot of talk about places to shop and this store always comes up and always very positive things to say. They have always been very fair in buying things from me. They tell me that the prices they set are usually about one-fourth to one-half of the current retail price. I do think some people have a very inflated idea of what used items should be worth. They are very selective which is good when you are buying items. As to the person who said the items were not good- must have thought she was in Macy's-- this is a resale store! You really should check it out for yourself. If you do have any concerns just ask for the owner(Charlene), she would be happy to talk to you, she has been the owner for 24 years.
Pros: good selection
Cons: none

If you make an appointment and bring in stuff thats in good shape to sell they will look through it and decide how much they would charge, and give you 40% of that. I mean something thats useless to you no matter how much you originally spent on it is worth exactly nothing. I took in that sort of stuff and walked out with 68 bucks. I have also bought really cool toys for less than 5 dollars. Just remember it's a retail store, not the baby gap. If you expect the staff to follow you around and kiss your butt your in the wrong place.
Pros: good deals
Cons: closed Sundays

I am surprised by these reviews. I just moved to SA and I really liked the store. I went in and bought some really great priced, good quality items. The next time I went in I brought stuff for the resale. I was dissapointed at several items they wouldn't take, and they did examine everything very closely, but on the flip side it helped to assure me that when I buy something from there it will be in really good shape. I did feel a little like I must be a "dirty" mom, but I have four kids, so hey, I do the best I can. All in all I really did like it, the sales people were very pleasant, and I really recommend you try it for yourself.

Don't go to Kid Junction if you are looking for quality items. They sell really old and worn goods, not to my liking. Please don't try to sell your stuff there either because they will only give you pennies on the dollar. I took in $400 worth of items all in great condition, some almost new, if not new with tags and they offered less than $40 for the entire amount. I believe they are taking advantage of selllers they believe to be desperate for money. I took all my stuff back and even gave some of it away at the store to some of the customers. They were very grateful. I will be giving my stuff away at a street corner on the least affluent side of town, which makes me feel much better than earning a few measly bucks. And by the way, the staff is verrrrrrrrrry slow.
Pros: obviously none
Cons: many other store will pay cash on the stop

I have to agree that the people are horribly rude. Occasionally I find a good deal on toys, but I wouldn't sell there. I have seen them be awful to people who come in to sell things. Goodwill has better service and better clothes!
Pros: good toy selection
Cons: awful staff

I do not understand what all these reviews are saying. I go into Kids Junction at least once a week and have never seen any rude employees, In fact, I have noticed everyone going out of their way to be helpful. The merchandise is great and prices fantastic. It is well worth the drive from anywhere in San Antonio. You really should try it before you listen to other people.

I shopped at Kids Junction for a year. Frankly, I couldn't stand thinking that I was supporting such hateful people. The first few times I thought I was just "wearing my feelings on my sleeve", that all of it was my imagination. I felt like I was being stared at, yet ignored anytime that I had a question. No one ever greeted me or offered assistance. Each time I went, the rude behavior just became more and more blatant, the prices just seemed to climb... or maybe the clothes just looked worse so the already high prices looked higher. I did find a bargain or two over the course of a year... but it was after searching through really overpriced junk. I just quit going. Then after a year I decided to stop in again to see how things were going. Just as bad, worse than I remembered. I looked around for some sleepers/12 month baby clothes... couldn't find a thing. All their stuff was winter, it was 90+ outside. I decided to try my hand at consignment. They certainly needed something besides winter! I asked for the best time to bring resale items in. I showed up one morning and approached the counter at the same time a woman was walking up to it. She GLARED at me and said "What do you need?". I said "Well, I would like to consign some items please." WHOA! Wrong choice of words! She literally rolled her eyes and slammed her pen down. She sharply said "THIS is NOT a consignment shop Mrs." What proceeded was the most unpleasant experience. She sighed and gave me "looks" the whole time she scoured through my clothing. She picked at them with her fingernails and then would look at me over the rim of her glasses. She pointed out spots on clothing that I still can't see. I had brought in Ralph Lauren, Gap, Talbots Kids, etc. All in excellent condition! ESPECIALLY for a RESALE shop! t's a shame because it would have been an awesome "find" for someone else. I am a clean sweet mother of two and have never felt so much like a dirty piece of trash. I will never go back. NEVER!
Pros: ?
Cons: Poor selection, overpriced, rude staff.

took some of my kids stuff there, they were very selective on a lot of stuff. but over all took almost half of what I brought in. They like toys and baby equipment. they also have a great selection on that stuff too. We bought a swing and a carseat for about half of what the retail stores carry it for and it was in such great shape it looked almost bran new. I would have to say i really liked the store and the items they carry. they may be picky on what they take, but when go to buy thing there you know you are getting good stuff at a good price. I will be going back there and selling my stuff again. oh yeah they have a corner for your kids to play in while u shop. that is a great idea to have.
Pros: great selection on baby stuff, pays for your items that day
Cons: too long of a wait without an appointment
