I looked throughout the entire store and no one offered to start a fitting room for me, much less acknowledged I was there. It was difficult to find nice stuff under $50 and everything was overpriced. I saw an item with the original price tag at $17, but their price was $23!!! I tried an item on for $48, but it had a stain on it. I mentioned it the sales lady and she took it from me very rudely and said "I'll put it up." I thought we could negotiate a price. I left immediately. I will not ever shop there again and neither will anyone I know!

My husband and I walked in. We wandered for over 15 minutes. There were two workers. Neither lifted their head to say hello or acknowledge we existed. Plain decor, nothing fancy, nothing on the walls. Blah! The window displays are pathetic. Nothing on the outside of the boutique says, "Come in here!" The selection was very high end. Lots of clothes for older women. Not much for young, hip gals. I saw a couple of Mossimo from Target (OUCH!), Lee's, and Levi's. I purchased something. Still no dialogue with the sales gal. I guess my Givency blouse and ?Juicy Couture clothes did not go with my diamond watch! My diamond jewelry and Gucci bag may be there, but my credit card will not let me go in again! Denied!
Pros: Cute stuff, found lots of designer names.
Cons: Snotsville - no customer service.

Great clothes, mostly small sizes....nothing ever $8.50 as suggested.....horrible staff......VERY SNOBBY STAFF.... uncomfortable place to shop because of the staff..... TOO BAD!
Pros: QUALITY OF CLOTHES OFFERED
Cons: STAFF IS HORRIBLE

i enjoy shopping at encore and have had a pleasant experience consigning there too!! friendly staff and service!!

I have shopped here for years. I love that it is organized, clean, and has great labels at good prices. I would agree that the staff is not very friendly and almost never greet or acknowledge you while shopping. But, the finds make up for this issue. I mean, the staff is not downright rude, but needs to improve their customer service.

Have the patience to look through many packed racks and shelves for designer finds from Diane von Furstenberg, Nanette Lepore, even Jimmy Choo to Banana Reublic and Target (i.e., Isaac Mizrahi for Target) and a few knockoffs in between? Yahtzee(!) this is the place for you. Be darn sure it's a keeper, as there are absolutely no returns. Inspect the garment carefully. The prices are excellent (Burberry pants for $30 !!).The service, however leaves much to be desired. I have yet to see anybody there who doesn't act like they are doing you a favor. The young girls are the worst!! Twice, the girls just sat at the counter and pointed in response to a question I had. To the staff's credit, I have always been greeted upon entering, and the visual displays are appealing, but in my opinion, these things alone are not enough to keep me coming back.
