Great Customer Service!!!!

I hate buying cars. The aggrivation of determining if you're getting a good deal and having to hassle with the salesman is something I really detest. I purchased a new car last year from a different dealership and it was a lengthy process of back and forth and "let me ask my manager". I was so happy with my experience at Benson Honda that I would purchase only Honda's for the rest of my driving years, just to shop there! We purchased a 2008 Odessey from Kevin Banks. He was patient, knowledgable, friendly and we never felt rushed. We also spoke with Sam (sorry I forgot his last name) who was very understanding and did EVERYTHING in his power to make us happy. We almost purchased a vehicle from a local competitor and all they did was tell us how horrible our experience would be if we purchased from Benson. They made us feel rushed and like I was wasting their time by not purchasing right now. The prices were very competitive so we decided to go with Benson because they didn't slam the competitor and I just had a better feeling about them. They were honest and after talking with Sam I just knew that they were going to treat us right. Thank Goodness we did! I gave them about a four hour notice that we were coming and they had the vehicle tinted, cleaned and waiting for us at the front door. There was no haggling, no pressure, I never felt rushed. I felt like they went above and beyond to make us happy. I would recomend anyone to Benson Honda!
- Pros: price, honesty, willingness to go the extra mile, knowledge of vehicle, understanding
Service Sux

Report from wife: Went in for "Express" oil change. Sat in car for 5 min. with no attention. Went in office where several were drinking coffee and talking, seemingly idly.
Wife told 2 hours for oil change. Asked about the big "express" sign outside and told she didn't know what express meant. (rudely)
When asked about being first in the morning, service tech told here still two hours. "You don't want the mechanic to burn his hands, do you?" rude again.
I bought two Honda cars there. I will not buy there again. That's maybe over 50,000.00 in sales for being rude.
I am going to recommend a change in attitude.

DON'T GO HERE! I just wanted an oil change, and they crashed my car into a pole.
Got ripped off

I just bought a used car from here. First let me say I wasn't too impressed with the service. But after haggling with the salesman I got the car I wanted for $21000. So I signed the papers and went home. But after looking a little closer at the paperwork and I realized they charged me $22500 for the car, not the 21000 I agreed to with the salesman. I've run all the numbers and taken into account tax title etc but it still comes out the same. I got ripped off. Absolutely unprofessional if it was a mistake on their end and absolutely unacceptable if it was not. I'm going back first thing in the morning to get things straightened out. I will post an update when I get back. Even if they straighten things out with me, it is totally unprofessional to charge someone more than what they agreed to pay. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was miscommunication between the salesman and finance department. I guess it's partly my fault for not taking a closer look at the paperwork when I signed. I guess I shouldn't have been so trustful...
Update: I returned to the dealer the next morning and let them know of the problem. They changed the paperwork to reflect the agreed-upon price for the car. They barely offered and apology and sent me on my way. I would not recommend getting a car at Benson Honda.
THeir Service Dept. Was Amazing

On a very early Saturday morning I took my car to Benson Honda because the window in my car would not close. I did not have an appointment and they were able to fit me in. I received excellent service from Rick. Rick scheduled my service and explained everything very thoroughly. I was relived to know my car would be ready to drive the same day. A friend recommended Benson Honda to me and I highly recommend this service department to anyone owning a Honda.
Very Good & Reasonable Service Visit

My wife and I went in yesterday for service at this dealership and it was a very good experience. We used to have our Accord serviced at another local dealership but we switched when that other place lost our keys. Our advisor, Ariel, was very nice and helped cut some cost by just replacing our rotors versus a complete brake job. We appreciated the honesty, and that's why I am writing this review.
- Pros: Good location and good prices for Service work
- Cons: Wish dealerships were open on Sundays
Very good price for used CR-V

When my sister and myself went to various dealerships to try and find her a great deal on a certified SUV, we had several rough experiences until we arrived at Benson Honda.
The used car manager, Mr. Graham, and our salesperson, Dana, both took great care of us both during the whole experience. No hard sale or pressure from anyone there surprisingly enough.
Plus, a service tech helped me with a car door key problem I was having for my own car. No charge.
I highly recommend this dealership for used car and service. Thanks again!
- Pros: Easy buying experience for my family
- Cons: None
Bad service department

I told my daughter to drive her Honda Civic car to the honda dealership to change her transmission oil since it was due for one after taking it home noticed a leak and transmission was not working right. We took the car back with a wrecker it was leaking on my driveway never had before. She was told it still had transmission fluid but before the car was towed several people checked the transmission and It was empty I then went to the manager and he checked and yes it was empty so all this time was wasted due to improper knowledge. Now they tell me that I need a new transmission a cost about 2-3 thousand dollars when i just needed a transmission oil change. Now I have a car that does not move and transmission leak and I brought this car from them.

Do not purchase a car from Benson Honda in San Antonio, take a drive out to other honda dealers
B the way, our 2008 we purchased with 33k miles has rusted rails on the front seats...wouldn't think a car with this low mileage would have rust already...thinking they didn't divuldge water damage, car was brought in from Louisiana, bought at auction. We questioned if it had any water damage after finding out where it was purchased by Benson. Mum was the word on their end.
Service Department has been friendly, no complaints there. But all and all on the purchase end feel they are not honest. Sad thing to do to our son with the purchase of his first car.
- Pros: conveniently located
- Cons: Poor Customer Service, Liars
