Awesome Cakes! They even have Made to Order available!
by DreamCloudTx at Citysearch
My friends and I decided to purchase a last minute bday cake for another one of our friends. They had a HUGE selection of made to order cakes which was quite nice. There were even some made with champagne in the mix. The staff and actual owner were extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to help us out picking a design since we were completely clueless and the owner herself actually was nice enough to do the decorating herself. We ordered a white chocolate caked with champagne in the mix. It was absolutely delicious!!!! There was absolutely none left over because it was so unbelievably moist and tasted heavenly. EVERYONE wanted to know where we got it from. We will ALL definitely order from Nadler's again!
- Pros: The taste and texture and appearance of the cakes
- Cons: I wish there was one in Alamo Ranch which is closer to me
Great Sandwiches, Even Better Cake!
by bestchampeva at Citysearch
I heard alot about Nadlers so I finally decided to take the plunge for my brithday and get the strawberry whipped creme cake. It was unique and tasted delicious. I often go there for lunch and their sandwiches are pretty great too. Be sure to order a cake from them at least once, you will NOT regret it.
- Pros: Broad Selection, Cakes Are Delicious
- Cons: Staff Not Consistently Nice
Great Cake, Awful Management and staff

My family has been customers since they opened their doors 30 years ago. In fact, my parents had their signature strawberry and whip cream cake at their wedding in 1978. Well, I had them recreate that wedding cake for a surprise 30th Anniversary party for my parents. I provided a picture of the original cake - they said it would be no problem matching it exactly. The week before it was to be ready I kept in contact to make sure everything was on schedule and was assured that it was. The day of I called ahead to make sure it would be ready to go so I could just pay and leave. When I got there all the employees were standing around talking and ignoring me. Finally one helped me. The cake was in the back, they brought it out, not in a box, not ready to go. Then this girl starts folding a box while reaching over my cake and bumps into the icing detail on the side with her apron. She said laughing"I do that all the time!" Then I notice they did not include the ribbon. She looked confused and then goes back to ask and comes back about 5 min later. She says they were waiting for me to pick the color and she then shows me a dark and a light ribbon. The one pictured is light so DUH. Obviously they lied and forgot about it. Then they go to put it on and that takes another 5 min. This is very frusturating, especially the icing thing and I am paying $150 for this! I ask for the manager (Erika I think) and she comes out a few min later (notice how much of my time they are wasting? I have a party to decorate!). I explain everything. As the manager she should be concerned that I am not happy and offer to make it right. Right? Instead she says defensively "Well has the situation been rectified? What do you want me to do?" I was on the verge of tears and it was supposed to be a special and happy day. I'm so glad this wasn't for an actual wedding!
Needless to say, I will never go there again. BEWARE!
- Pros: The strawberry whip cream cake is all I have had from there and it is to die for!
- Cons: The employees and manager that I delt with were useless and oblivious
Great Cakes!

So far I have ordered 2 cakes from their extensive list. I have to say, they were ready when i asked and they were great!! I had the Chocolate Mousse cake and the Italian Creme cake. They were both fresh and everyone could not stop talking about them. As for going there for pastries, I don't know. I have never done that. I just order the cake over the phone and go pick it up! I have never had bad service!
- Pros: the cakes!
- Cons: nothing?!
They're okay but I have had better!

I chose Nadlers to do my shower cake so we'll see how it comes out! They are not in the most convenient location and even though the cakes and danishes are yummy I am not sure on how fresh they are. When I asked the lady behind the counter when certain items were baked, she was stuck on stupid and had no clue! REALLY?? The staff isn't the friendliest either! The area is quite shabby but then again I have found some of the best eateries in the hole in the wall places, but this by far isn't the best!
- Pros: Yummy cakes
- Cons: Not so fresh, rude staff
Very disappointed

I researched this place because I was looking for a good pasterie and coffee shop similar to the ones I frequently visited in NYC, walking in it looked run down and haggard. We ordered two coffees, a cheese danish and a almond croissant. When the guy behind the counter gave me the coffee cup with dirt on the rim and a hair in it I should of turned around and left but I stayed because I wanted to see why this was rated so well. Got a new coffee cup but got a smirk from him no apologies. I now regret not turning back, the pasteries were not fresh and this was around 10 or 11 am and the coffee was watered down, I could of boiled water and added cream and sugar and it would of tasted the same. I gave them one star because I had to rate them with at least one.
