Heather Stolle's School of dance has been nothing but amazing over the past 9 years that I have danced there. The teachers are sweet and nice, and they always have challenged me to become a better dancer. I have made some of my best friends dancing at HSSD. This dance studio is organized, age appropriate, fun, and a great place to be!!!
Pros: The teachers, Fun dancing atmosphere, great professional instruction.

alrighty, well first of all the very first review couldn't be more wrong. i have been a dancer at heather stolles since it opened and it is the best thing that has happened to me. i have learned more at this studio than anywhere else, and i've danced many other places.( i also dance varsity at reagan). all of the staff puts 110% into each and every class. and the costumes..hello! they're costumes. of course they're more expensive than the clothes you're wearing right now. the dress code and music choice is definately something to admire. none of the songs have anything explict about them. and the dress? they make sure that your midriff can't be seen- which personally, i really enjoy. dance isn't a beauty contest, and i personally don't want to see anymore of someone than should be seen. HSSD is a great place for students to learn and is definately the first place that comes to mind when people ask me for dance studios in the area. i love it there and i couldn't be more happy.
Pros: the passion that the teachers there have for dance, friendly staff, dress code, music choice

Heather Stolle's School of Dance is a heartwarming studio that not every dancer gets to experience. The teachers are funny and friendly and love teaching there students and there students love to be teached! And coming from personal experience, reading the first review i strongly disagree with it because i have danced at other places and costumes were just as much and a tution increase is no bid deal. At HSSD, a dancer can feel comfortable, and be able to expand and learn new things each dance class. Heather Stolle's is a great dance studio for anyone who loves dance!
Pros: Everything
Cons: none

Heather Stolle School of Dance is a Mother's dream. They love on the little girls and encourage the older girls. She has a sweet and experienced staff that is very dedicated to the girls they teach. They strive for excellence and go out of their way to be sure that the dances they teach are fun and exciting, but also very wholesome and age appropriate. In the age that we live in, that is a refreshing change than what are girls are bombarded with! What I have observed is girls having a lot of fun with friends they have made, being encouraged and loved by the HSSD teachers. I have had my daughter in her studio for 3 years and as long as she wants to dance, she will be at HSSD.

My daughter has danced at Heather Stolle's School of Dance. When she was first starting, I had no idea what to expect. But, my experience with the teachers and other staff was very pleasant, and most importantly, my little dancer loved being there. The classes were age appropriate, as was the music, and I knew I didn't have to worry about my daughter being exposed to the "nasty" dancing that seems to be so popular these days. When the costume books came out, I was happy to see that there were no exposed mid-riffs, or really short skirts. The costumes were all beautiful, and again, age appropriate. There were some that were priced a more than others. I inquired about costume pricing, and the breakdown explained to me was certainly understandable. So, in response to a previous comment on pricing, I guess quality costumes are worth it. My friend went to another studio and their costumes were all the same price, no matter if they were sequined and gorgeous, or put together by the parents. Sometimes all it takes to understand is to ask questions. All in all, my experience at HSSD could not have been better!
Pros: friendly staff, family atmosphere, large viewing windows, large lobby area
Cons: not enough days in the week!

Heather Stolle School of Dance is spectacular. My daughters have been dancing with this studio for over 6 years. Each year they have made great strides in becoming beautiful dancers in ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. The studio is family oriented and focuses on uplifting the children while teaching them to be poised dancers. The recitals are organized, entertaining and exciting. The class dates and times at HSSD are accomodating and organized. The teaching staff is nothing shy of professional. I highly recommend Heather Stolle School of Dance above all studios in and around San Antonio.
Pros: staff
Cons: none

This place is unorganized chaos. Teachers are late, and administration is horrible. They increased tuition but did not even bother to tell us; there was a note posted about it. The recital is unprofessional and the costume prices are ridiculous; it wasn't even finished, we had to sow parts of it. I would never recommend them to anyone wanting their child to get a quality dance education.
Pros: Ms. Scarlet & Ms. Shannon
Cons: everything else

Wow! I went online to get the ph # and saw the previous review, it's rather harsh. My personal experience has been a positive one for both my daughters and myself. My youngest is EXTREMELY shy and began the ballet/tap class last year when she was 4. She doesn't do well with loud personalities or being put on the spot, but definitely knows that she shouldn't walk fast or run in her class shoes. She actually didn't participate the 1st 2 classes (encouraged lovingly by the teachers) and loves it now! The class is a sweet start for 3-4 yr old pink clad wanna be princesses/ballerinas. Not as strict as traditional ballet, but a great way for these kids to get active and enjoy themsleves. What else should you expect from them at this age? I'm not raising pageant starlets, just girls with good health, manners & morals. These girls learn to take turns, listen to verbal instructions, follow & remember simple dance moves and have creative song/dance. The audience of moms wave through the large window regardless if it's their own daughter peering out for adulation. My daughter sometimes asks to stay home from preschool or sunday school, but loves to go to this school. Bottom line ~ the girls in class are all smiles, participate and have fun, and that's what counts for us. Heather, Ms Katy & Mrs Genevieve are dears. My oldest loves the hip-hop class. She decided to discontinue for personal reasons. The only thing I wish was different is the age limit, but it seems there is no interest with kids her age. My daughter was the youngest and smallest and felt a tad uncomforatble dancing next to the older girls...it really does make a difference when you're learning & the girl next to you already has it. Ms Katy is a sweetheart & gave a private lesson & plenty of encouragement when there were no other girls her age to form a class (which caused her to move up into the older class). All that said, I've had great communication & experience and would reccommend HSSD. God Bless you all!
Pros: Clean Facility, Large Sound Proof Waiting Area With Large Viewing Window, 2 locations, Easy Access/Parking
Cons: no "front desk" help...staff is usually in class (understandable), cost of costumes for recital
