Great food; great service
by dg8201 at Citysearch
We ate at the Cracker Barrel for the first time since moving to SA in 2007. We should have started eating there when we first moved to SA. Great food. Great service. Will definitely return.
A little ole' country general store serving down-home foods and goods since 1969.

In Short
Originating in Lebanon Texas, this country store and restaurant has branched out all over the U.S. The décor includes old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances and photos which complement the country-style seating. Their menu includes home-style comfort foods like meatloaf and house-made mashed potatoes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to stop into the gift shop for souvenirs and a variety of knick-knacks.
Best biscuits
by halls9102 at Citysearch
They make the best biscuits I ever had in my life. They hashbrown is good too but bacon was over cooked.I went there 3 times and they were always overcooked, dry. Other than that service is very slow. It took us 45 minutes to get our breakfast. Other than that great place to eat.
- Pros: Biscuits, Decoration, store
- Cons: slow service, dry bacons
Homey
by Hattiemaemalou at Citysearch
Great food, great for the family, great wait staff, great cashiers, great gifts. A bit of a wait, but not long enough to complain. We love it. Also when we travel they have the added bonus of audio tapes you can rent and return to the next state. Oh yeah, the atomosphere is cozy and warm. The decor is like grandma's house.
- Pros: Food, Ambiance, Service
- Cons: Club sandwich
Number 1 in 40+ states

Cracker Barrel offers the best reasonably priced breakfasts, lunch specials and dinners of ANY Restaurant in the country. Guess that's why they've been rated #1 by National Magazines for years. Their menu's offer something for everyone and their portions are large in comparison to most other restaurants. And you get to do some shopping at their Country Stores while there as well.
- Pros: Menu Selections, Large Servings, Inexpensive
- Cons: Not in California, Not in Nevada, Not in Ore/Wash

The Cracker Barrel Hits It Big

I think the Cracker Barrel's breakfastes are absoulutly amazing! And if you leave still hungry, it's your own fault bacause they serve you tremendous amounts of food! I had the French Toast, which I got two of, and with it came, two eggs, & bacon. I think the Crackel Barrel Old Country STR should definetly get the rating it deserves.
