You can tell the positive comments were left by employees!! SALES IS THE NAME OF THE GAME??? WOW. This place really s%cks. You will be hounded every day to sign extended contracts!! I was even followed to my car. Look them up with the TEXAS DEPT OF HEALTH. They have had the most....by far...staph and pink-eye cases than any other tanning salon in south and central Texas!!

Pros: absolutely none

Cons: dirty, horrible service, nothing but sales, irritating staff, oh and staph too

Sales is the name of the game. It’s their job to sell memberships to you, so I think all of this complaining about “being pressured to buy something” is a little intense. It’s your money and you choose what to do with it so just simply say no thank and walk out the door. The girls at Medical are ALWAYS very polite when I’ve declined to extend. They ALWAYS tell me they’ll just stick a memo in my acct so no one bothers me. Always so professional for their young age. Plus, I think the prices are VERY reasonable too. Extremely affordable. I’m paying $50 a month for a FOUR YEAR CONTRACT! I get all of the beds. All of their locations. Half off the big beds. I even got a free lotion. And I only made 10 payments! I have over 3 years left on my contract and I’m done paying next month! I think that’s a lot better than paying every month for just level one beds. I did have a problem with a withdraw from my bank but the girls (again at Medical) were VERY helpful; giving me a corporate number and everything was taken care of the next day. Any problem I have ever had, was taken care of immediately. They can help me with all of the lotions, how long to go in the beds … everything. These girls are on point! I’ve been to all of the locations and can honestly say, these girls are professional and polite. Fun to chat with too! I think I’ll stick with the Medical Center location though, they seem to be the best! All in all, I think Tanco is good for the money.

I am so upset that I got talked into a 2 year contract! At first they were really nice until thaey gort me in,thenthey started talking bad about other customers right in front of me.I was wandering what they say about me when I leave? They seem to be adding more and more charges to my account. They never clean their beds! I have had countless people tell me that they have staph infections from there. Staph is nothing to mess around with! The manager is very to face! she's the over weight one with dark hair. She is super flakey,I actually heard her say she was going to give some customer a dirty bed,cause she didn't like her. Anyway,PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! they are very unclean and two-faced!!

I have tanned with Tanco for years and I have tanned at almost all of the Tanco's in San Antonio, and everytime I walk in the door I am greeted with a hello. Anytime I have had any questions, from "I havent been tanning for a while, how long should I go?" to "What lotion is best for me?" to "When does my payment go through?" they were answered. I know for a fact that the tanning beds and googles are cleaned because I have seen the girls cleaning both. I think that the tanning packages are extremely reasonable and affordable. Like I said, Ive been tanning with Tanco forever, and it sounds like some people had one bad experience and are just bitter, but Tanco is DEF. #1 in my book!!!!! I will never tan anywhere else!

Pros: Customer Service, Staff. Ambience, Affordable

Cons: There is only 6 in San Antonio

This business is Horrible! They have high pressure sales and Extremely Long Tanning Contracts! There are No Cheap Deals! It’s all about closing you on the Year to Two Years Contracts!! Don’t get fooled it’s a membership and they do not care if you come or not! You still pay your monthly fee no matter what, Even if you get sick they do not care! And once you sign they will not let you change your mind! They just ignore you if you want a different package. They are only interested in how to add more charges on to your Mandatory Automatic Payments. Don’t sign anything with them!!! I have had much better tanning at other establishments. If you must tan DO A ONE TIME TAN only!! Don’t sign a membership! It’s not worth it and you will regret it! Go to other local tanning first!!

Take it from someone who has worked there...DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! I came to Tanco from working at a well respected tanning salon that tought their employees the value of cleanliness and safety. Even the MANAGER (de zavala location) hadn't been educated on the way the skin tans, how long first time tanners should go into the beds, what lotions work for what type of skin types. Don't even think about going here and expecting clean facilities either! While working there, I had to go around the tanning salon MYSELF and clean up the beds because the other employees didn't clean them properly, or they would just reset the bed without cleaning them AT ALL!! And, like the girl in the other review mentioned, they don't clean the goggles...ever. Not to mention they talk about EVERY SINGLE TANNER behind their backs. And trust me, it's not an exaggeration. If you care about your skin, safety and dignity don't go here. I would recommend Darque Tan or Perfect Tan if you want a nice experience. The service and cleanliness are outstanding!!

i can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt but it's a crazy coincidence i got both pink-eye and a STAPH infection less than 2 weeks after being conned into signing a 12 month contract. i asked the annoying, super-tan bimbos behind the counter to show me how they clean the goggles and tanning bed... THEY DON'T CLEAN THE GOGGLES! and the tanning bed cleaning was horrible NOTHING BUT SALES..NO SERVICE..DIRTY

Pros: I CANT THINK OF A SINGLE ONE

Cons: THERE'S NOT ENOUGH SPACE

I am so happy to have found a tanning salon where I am greeted, treated great with a warm atmosphere and quality beds and products. The tanning options and packages are flexible and affordable. The staff knows the business and products and treats you great. Thanks Tanco!
