THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!
by SpcJones
I bought a new 2009 Polaris Ranger XP. I called to take it in for it's first oil change. I was told that it would be $29.99. I said fine and took it in. When I returned to pick it up the bill was nearly 100 Bucks. Yes they suckered me in by saying it would be $29.99 well that was just for the oil. Later I had a issue with it not running right and brought it in. I was told that it would be $79.99. That was just to look at it. I told them to ##@# off!! I called Woods Fun Center afterwards and they told me to bring it right in. I drove the 30 mins further and it was more then well worth it!! They fixed my maching in 15 mins and washed it and then helped me put it in the back of my truck. Don't ever go to Alamo go to Woods!!
- Pros: The are good at Stealing and being crooks!!
- Cons: They are good at being Crooks!!
They saw her coming

My wife was in the market for a motorcycle but knew nothing about them so she put her trust and confidence in the "professionals" at Alamo Cycle Plex. The first salesman (who mysteriously left and never returned after the sale) sold a beautiful motorcycle, only 1 year old and less than 250 miles on it but the 800cc was way too big for her petite build. In the garage she could barely stand the thing up on her own. So she called them and explained the situation. The next salesman kept calling and hounding her about trading it and was willing to make a deal. If she gave them more money they would trade her a smaller bike. More money for smaller? Long story short she came home with a smaller bike that had 10,000 more miles on it, 5 years older, scratched on the tank, is now leaking oil, engine sounds horrrible (not my original choice of words) and they had the audicity to ask for more money.
I will never recommend Alamo Cycle Plex to anyone. This is a prime example of being taken advantage of.
- Pros: none
- Cons: They see you coming
customers are getting fraud by acp
by evilknievil367
acp charges too much for its products and also charges anti- theft without the customer knowing when they buy a bike there so watch out for those anti-theft they hide them in the paper work or they tell you it comes with it but really it doesnt it can be as much as a lo-jack which is about 699 but they dont actually give you one and in other stores polaris sends free helmets to give the customer when they buy a polaris unit but they turn around and sell them in parts department instead of giving it to the customer as a gift from polaris when they buy a polaris and i myself and several others have bought a unit there and had a bunch of accesories and they took off parts to put in the better stuff and would not give me the take offs and so ive seen that those parts they turn around and sell them on ebay never again will i shop there be aware of there frauds
Terrible Store Policy, Bad Customer Service
by joegnu
Here's an email I just felt compelled to write to Alamo Cycle Plex, after an especially frustrating purchase. It took me like 20 minutes to make a $20 purchase, because they are so afraid I'm going to defraud them with a bad credit card.
<p>Dear Alamo Cycle Plex Owner/Manager:
You guys have great stock. Unfortunately, I never have left your store feeling good about my purchase. Reasons:
(1) Store policy apparently requires an elaborate ID verification procedure for even the most routine purchase. When I buy $200 worth of groceries at HEB, all I have to do is sign the credit card receipt. Done. Today, for a $20 purchase, I was forced to give my phone number, provide driver's license, and watch as the cashier wrote on some kind of "exemption log" for several minutes. This is not the fault of the cashier, who was friendly and courteous. It's the fault of the store policy. Please revise your policy. You are not Fort Knox. I know shoplifting is always an issue, but it is not more of an issue for you than other retailers, and I always feel your protection against theft and fraud is overly rigorous.
(2) Salespeople are brusque, discourteous, and clearly not happy people. I always get the feeling that they want me to get out of their face as soon as possible. This could be because I'm just that unpleasant to talk to/look at, but I doubt it. I only have this experience in your store.
I recently was in the market for a new bike, and I called your shop first, to discuss a test ride. I was told by a brusque, impatient salesperson that store policy was against it. So, I went to Ducati in Austin and gave *them* my $10K. I guess Alamo Cycle Plex does so well that it doesn't have to be nice to potential customers, or have customer-friendly store policies. Whatever the case, the impersonal atmosphere is extremely unpleasant.
If given a choice, I won't shop in ACP again.
- Pros: good selection
- Cons: terrible policies and service
