Great Hair Stylist!

This is a great salon! I just got my hair done by Jessica and she is great! She helped me figure out the best cut for my face shape and really worked with me on what I wanted. She also gave me great advice on styling and how to take care of my hair. I would definetly recommend her to any of my friends.

• Pros: Great atmosphere, great hair stylists, very sweet and approachable staff.
• Cons: No Cons, it was fantastic.

Gavin Rocks!!!!

I've been to several hair salons in San Antonio, mainly different Aveda salons. I've just had "ok" experiences. The problem with "ok" is when you?re paying a lot to have your hair done; you want to walk out of a salon feeling fresh and beautiful. That is not too much to ask for. My husband started going to SLS and used Gavin. He thought he did an incredible job. He's recommended me going to Gavin for a while now. I've never had a male do highlights or haircutting before and what does my husband really know about hair anyway? So I never took his recommendation. BIG MISTAKE. I finally got fed up with the high price of "ok" haircuts and highlights that I decided to give Gavin a chance. He is so attentive to his craft. He began by taking five minutes to just look at my hair to figure out the layering and texture so that he could assess what would be the best approach. I also showed him pictures of what I like and don't like. He confidently knew exactly what to do with my hair. There were moments I felt like he was Mr. Miyagi and I was his bonsai tree. His highlights were brilliant and his haircut was amazing. All I can say is I walked out feeling hip, fresh, and beautiful. Some people say SLS is on the expensive side. It was less expensive than any Aveda salon I had been to in San Antonio and how can anyone put a price on perfection?

Highest rated hair salon

I have very curly hair and all my past hair cuts never seemed to work for me. It wasn?t until I was told about Melanie at Smooth line (She is the best person to visit for curly hair at Smooth line) I scheduled an appointment with her, she worked with me so well, she listened to what I wanted, She was so adorable and relatable and she was so friendly, she washed and cut and the styled my hair. she gave me the best professional pointers and new hair style that fits me so well, everyone told me they love my hair cut, The price is expensive but the services is worth the price!!! She turned my old bad hair cut into something beautiful!!!

Best Stylist I've Ever Had

I first met April at Smooth Lines Salon located in the Strand at Huebner and I-10 when I was unhappy with a hair color I received by another stylist at SLS. She went out of her way to satisfy me by correcting the situation and as a result I became her client, going on over a year now. April has a unique and creative approach to my overall hair; not just in the color, but making sure that all the components of my hair come together for me specifically. She is always friendly and customer-focused. April goes out of her way to ensure my satisfaction each time I need a service. I trust her, and only her, with my hair because she has never once disappointed me or rushed through the service. I would highly recommend April to anyone who has had a mishap with their hair or who would enjoy a stylist that goes above what is expected. I have also found the overall environment of SLS to be professional and friendly. You will never want to go to another salon once you've been at Smooth Lines Salon!

Perfect Seamless Masterpiece

After searching all over San Antonio for the perfect salon, I found it. Julie cut my hair and she did a great job. I have a lot thick hair with damaged ends and she turned my hair into a perfect seamless masterpiece. She gave me a cut to fit my lazy lifestyle and didn?t fill my head with false expectations knowing how low maintenance I wanted it to be (like giving me a haircut that required me to dry & curl my hair in order to look good). Throughout the whole process she was telling me what she was doing and why she was doing it. She is so friendly and personable, I highly recommend her. She is well worth the price? and even more.

The only salon you'll ever need

I have had my hair cut by Julie several times and her work is absolutely exceptional! The first time I went to her, I was surprised at how much care she took to make sure everything looked perfect... I left with the best haircut of my life and my hair had never looked healthier. Asides from her great skills as a stylist, she's also very friendly and sweet. If you're looking for a stylist who takes the time to perfect their craft, then look no further than Julie! As for my other interactions at Smooth Lines, I've yet to have a negative experience - the receptionists are all very professional and friendly.

Gavin is Great!

I have wanted to get a pixie cut for a long time. I was always scared of how it would turn out. Davin sat down with me and really looked at the pictures I brought. He really took his time and didn't talk incessantly the whole time. I hate it when a stylist gets so distracted by talking to you or those around them that they forget they are cutting your hair. You could see the concentration in his face. I will definitely be back. I love my new hair and have never been happier about a cut. It was well worth the price and their products are great, too. (not terribly expensive)

Fantastic salon

When I moved to San Antonio two years ago, I fretted about finding a good salon. Smooth Lines has exceeded all my expectations. Professional service, talented stylists, great products.

However, I was disappointed to learn that my stylist, Monica, has left the salon. Does anyone know if she is at a new salon or how to reach her? When I called Smooth Lines, they claim to not know how to reach her. I've never had better haircuts than those I received from Monica, and I'd do anything to get a hold of her. Thanks!

Best shampoo, cut, and style ever!

Smooth Lines Salon is absolutely amazing all around! First, the receptionist was friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person when I arrived and when I left. I had my hair shampooed, cut, and styled with Gavin, and he did an incredible job. Before he even took me to wash my hair, he allowed me to tell him what my concerns with my hair were, what kind of cut I was looking for, how I wanted to be able to style it on a daily basis, what I've used in the past, and when I told him I just wanted an inch cut off the length, he even asked me what an inch was to me! He made great suggestions and made sure I was okay with what he was suggesting.. all this before the shampoo... Then the massage during the shampoo was totally relaxing after a day at work, and I received a complimentary hand massage from their massage therapist, Nancy, and she was also friendly and warm (so I'll be back for a massage soon!). With the haircut, Gavin was focused and took his time.. he did not rush through the cut, and he checked that my hair was even constantly. He then showed me how to use the products, how to style it, and what to do from the moment I get out of the shower, and he showed me how to use the diffuser so I could get my waves/curls to look nice. Just so you know I have wavy/frizzy/thick hair, and he showed me how to fix it and make it beautiful without having to straighten it. He had to have considered the shape of face as well because he didn't just enhance my hair, but my whole look... all in all he spent over an hour with me, and I left educated, confident, and in a completely euphoric mood! It was amazing.. I will never go anywhere else... oh, and their products are great, and the price range is just like any other salon.. the music and ambience are cool, too... okay, I'm done... Just go, you'll love it!

Expect Upscale Service At Smoothlines Salon!

Hi, I work in advertising and recently moved from Dallas to San Antonio for work. This put me dire need of a good local salon. to replace my old one in Dallas which was Gleason's Hair Design at The Crescent.. And from past experiences, I new this was going not going to be an easy task.. The reason is my hair is short, extremely fine, and as straight as it gets, which makes it very hard to cut right.. Anyway, to make a long story short, I tried 4 different salons in 3 months with no luck.. Then I ran across Smoothlines Salon on the City Search website and noticed it was close to my office, so I gave them a try. Michelle Taylor did my hair and she was great! It was one of the only times ever a stylist got it perfect on their very first try. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who expects upscale service in San Antonio. Thanks!
