I was referred to Acres North by a very reputable breeder in the CKCSC who told me she took all of her dogs there are they just did a very good job. Muffin has a laundry list of things to treat and some are very serious. They are thorough, reasonably priced, and I highly recommend Dr. Marbach and Dr. Abernathy. The techs and receptionist are very polite and work with you if you need a little more time to pay a large balance. All around it was a very pleasant experience. I always leave feeling better and more hopeful about my dogs condition because I know that they are competent and I know they truly care. My dog has seen 5 different vets, and they were by far the most impressive. When her condition persisted they didn't give up, they were patient and methodical, and explained everything along the way. They took their time with me to make sure I understood what was going on and what to expect. They suggested that she get some special testing done and referred me to a specialist in animal dermatology and he got to the bottom of things. They took the time to write down several names for me because I didn't know where to find specialist, and they even called for me to acquaint them with Muffin's situation so they would know what to expect, and what had already been done to test. I thought there was only on kind of vet! When she gets back to San Antonio, that's who will be taking care of her.
Pros: Overall very helpful and thorough... They always spend enough time to talk to you about what is going on. Always work you in if there is an urgent concern.
Cons: Sometimes, they run a few minutes behind, but having a good vet that take the time is worth the wait.
