info from the inside. A good friend of mine used to work at house of pizza and can verify all that i am going to say on here. The woman who owns the place is crazy, i went in for chinese one day, mostly to visit said friend, and found hair all up in my soup. Gross. usually i try not to make a fuss, but there were at LEAST 4 strands just floating around in my soup. The woman insisted that they were mine, even though i have short brown hair and these were long and grey. I was pissed, so i left.

i went again, and i kid you not, there was a rat in there. I don't know if it was someones pet or what, but there was a gad damned rat in there. Do NOT eat here. EVER!.

in all honesty, if you want good pizza/ italian for a good price, go to Romes, the wait isn't to terrible, the servers are nice and the food is worth it.

Check the Health Inspections!!!!. Our pizza had hair baked into the dough. The crazy owner refused to refund our $$ and was screaming insults at me, saying "You just want to eat for free." Long strands of hair were baked into the dough. An employee said that this happens all the time. I looked at the 3 health inspection reports and there are seriously gross violations that this place has received. I should have read the health inspections before ordered the pizza and stromboli. The female owner is absolutely crazy and has no care for her customers.

Pretty good food but sloooooow. Oddly enough, the pizza isn't very good here but the Chinese food is. if you like hot and sour soup they have a good variation on it here.

Bad pizza, copycat menu. I ordered two large 1 topping pizzas. dough was like cicis pizza and the topping were non existent. For being a local pizzeria the quality was poor and now i have noticed there menu is a copy of the rome's pizza down the road on culebra. go there for better pizza at the same price.

Magogs on the brain. The person who wrote that previous review must be wakoo and has magots on the brain. I live in the neighborhood and eat their quite often. Always good service, good food too. I know the owner personally, she is a firm business woman and strives for excellance.

Don't Go. The first time I visited I was not impressed but I returned because of the nearness to my home. When I went the second time I was appalled. The owner was screaming at her employees. I stood there for an uncomfortable five or so minutes while she berated them. Finally she stopped and came to give me my carry out order. It was then that I saw that she was covered in dough up to her elbows and wearing a thin see through polo without a bra. I don't know what was happening there but I was grossed out by the fact that she was handling the money and the register and kneading dough at the same time. In addition, no one in the kitchen was wearing a hairnet! In any case I don't condone speaking to employees the way she did, nor do I condone unsanitary practices in a restaurant. Their kitchen is open for all to see and they still behave this way? I threw the pizza away and I will not be going back.

Jack of all trades, master of none. I've given this place several chances. Tonight was their last. Their menu is varied, the pizza topping range is great, but the toppings themselves are less than adequate. The only thing they seem to get right is the crust. The sauce, cheese and other toppings are mediocre.

Their Chinese food leaves a lot to be desired. Their philly cheesesteaks are terrible, burnt and dried out affairs. The rolls they use for their sandwiches are dried out pitifully tasting things.

If you're looking for an okay pizza, give them a try. Avoid the rest of the menu.

House of Pizza on Tezel Rd. in San Antonio, TX. If you love pizza, you're going to want to make a stop at House of Pizza on Tezel Rd. Gourmet menu choices will rock your tastebuds! I tried the Greek pizza on Friday night and was not disappointed. The flavor combinations were deliciously unforgettable. The service any time I have dined there is both friendly and helpful. I'd give it a 5 star rating!!!
