They go above and beyond...

Our trip to Capri served the dual purpose of a birthday present to Stephanie and a graduation gift to ourselves. We started with a stress relief massage which was so graciously upgraded by Priscilla to a full hour, in recognition of our recent achievements. Stephanie went first while I relaxed in the quaint spa lounge area in their anatomically correct lounge chairs! The massage was aptly named and each of us felt quite relaxed afterwards. After the massage Stephanie went straight to get her hair started with Delray (sp?). It's now been a week and Stephanie is very happy with the cut and color. After my massage, Heather was to cut my hair. I am notoriously a bit of a pain when it comes to my haircut expectations (according to Stephanie). Heather, a perfectionist, took the time to listen to all I had to say, asked a few questions, then took her time giving me the best cut I've ever had. Seriously. Zero "break in" time. Truthfully, it's the most I've ever paid for a haircut (which isn't saying much), and I will gladly pay it again keep my hair looking so good. From someone who has worked in the service industry for a long time, I can honestly say the ENTIRE experience with the ladies at Capri was top notch, 5 star, worth every penny. Set an appointment with Angela at the front desk... you will not be disappointed.
- Pros: Amazing customer service, even better haircuts
- Cons: none as of now
A bit let down...

I was very excited to try out Capri Studio because of all of the high reviews I read online. While the stylist who cut my hair was very friendly and talkative, not at all pretentious for a high-style salon, I did end up walking out of there with a mediocre haircut. It's only been a few weeks, and it's not growing out nicely. My hair wasn't thinned out enough, so it's growing out extremely thick and unmanageable. I'll be looking elsewhere, unfortunately.
- Pros: Friendly employees, decent prices
- Cons: None that I an think of :)
CaPri is awesome!!

Let me first debunk jjt123's review. The review stated "he" was there for a "men's" haircut, yet "his" profile says "he" is a "female". "He" also commented the same day on another spa and their services in a negative way. Does "he" live in local spas or what? Left for a reason "he" could not go into? Thats what the reviews are for.
JJT123, from Cali, is a phony!
Dont believe everything you read on the internet. The only way to truly know what CaPri is like is to visit their studio. You will love the inviting atmosphere. You will love the friendly and well trained staff. Most importantly you will recommend to everyone who comments on your look to go to CaPri Hair Studio.
- Pros: location, staff, atmoshpere
- Cons: none
Men Beware!!

Went here thinking ,OK, good reviews etc. Let me check it out. Im from Cali and know what service is about and have for years been serviced by some pretty high end salons. The problem started right of the bat with the counter lady. I wanted to get my hair cut by Capri so when I called I could feel this cold "what do you want?" Are you selling something? Don't ask for someone specific, evidently if your a guy they think your trying to make them. I left in the middle of the cut for reason I cant go into. I realize now the very special kind of woman you need to be if you're working there.
Style for those who thought they could never get it right

I followed my stylist from a "mall salon" to this super chic place and couldn't be happier. I knew I found a good stylist the first time I met Sara and am super stoked to have had her find a studio that is as trendy and PROFESSIONAL as she consistently is. I feel 100% comfortable telling her something abstract like, "make it attractive and professional without being boring" and sitting back, knowing her skill will outweigh any of my uncertainty every time. I also know a couple of other people who go here and and they come in all sorts of cultures, styles and backgrounds from the super fabulous to the super manly and everywhere in between. No matter who you are, you will feel at home in their cozy, upscale salon and be impressed with their staffs' reliably gorgeous results.
- Pros: parking always easy, no walk-ins to delay your appointment
- Cons: closed Mondays
********** Capri *********** BEST HAIR SALON IN SAN ANTONIO
by randyduvall at Citysearch
I have lived in San Antonio for about 15 years, before Capri opened their doors, but I can safely say that it is the best Hair Salon in San Antonio right now without charging $50 for a man's haircut. In fact, for an upscale salon they are very reasonable. The stlylists are first rate, very experienced and obviusly very scrutinized and put through the paces for their abilities before they are hired, i.e., you have to be good!
I have had 3 stylists at Capri over a 6 year period and have stayed with each one until they have chosen employment elsewhere or moved out of town. I am a man and extremely picky about who cuts my hair. Both times I have changed Stylists, I have been referred internally to another Stylist and have not been sorry. Currently Kelly is my Sylist and is one of the "better stylists in town". The Stylists take time to listen to your wishes and will make excellent reccomendations if you ask.
Bottom line is, Capri Hair Studio is upscale, trendy wothout being "way out there", has some of the best and most knowledgable Stylists in San Antonio and does great men's hair, as well as, women. I have been around in San Antonio looking for just that right Stylist and Capri has never let me down. You must try it!
- Pros: Skilled Stylists, never feel rushed, upscale, trEndy, Stylists give great recommendations
- Cons: Sometimes hard to get an appt.
Curly hair-They're the best!
by mariana495 at Citysearch
I was recommended to CaPri by my boss and she was hesitant to even tell me to go because "i was tough" I have long, VERY curly crazy hair and have never cut it shorter that shoulder lenght, but the summer is so hot that i really wanted it short, and I wanted a change. We all know that short curly hair is just not good, but i really wanted it. I called for a consultation and Priscilla (receptionist, co-owner) told me three stylists that would be good with short curly hair. I made an appt. for a consultation so I could know what exactly she knew and prices! as soon as we started talking I knew I wanted to get it done there. ALISON really understood what I wanted, she also asked my normal routine so she wouldn't give me a hair cut that I would have to spend two hours on if I only had one to get ready! MAKES SENSE! I went back the two days later for my appt at10 am when they open, all the stylists were waiting at the door for their clients and greeted us with smiling faces, not "I just woke up, lets do this" faces! she went over everything we had talked about , she remembered! I did not feel like she was rushing and she cut and color my hair EXACTLY THE WAY WE TALKED ABOUT! I will deff. go back to her and be a "regular" The prices are just like salon you would go to, difference is , at this one you get your MONEY'S WORTH!
Best Hair Salon EVER!

Wow. Priscilla (at the front desk) was the sweetest girl in the world. When I called to schedule an appointment, I told her that I have a really sensitive head and that I wanted someone that wouldn't pull my hair and make my eyes water. She said that Sara would be perfect for the job and set me up for an appointment the next day at noon. Priscilla greeted me as I entered. She was very engaging and welcoming. I took a seat on the green sofa in the back of the waiting room and thumbed through a book called New York Sketched until my appointment time. Sara came out and greeted me, then she sat me down in the chair and I told her about my hair pulling fears. She was very understanding and we discussed my haircut and I gave her a few preferences and left the rest up to her. She used fabulous Bumble and Bumble products and gave me the best haircut I've ever had. She didn't pull my hair at all and she didn't rush through the very time consuming process of detangling my long, damaged hair. She styled my hair and turned me to the mirror and I was so happy, I'm sure I was grinning ear to ear. She was very personable and attentive. I could not have asked for anything more. She far exceeded my expectations and transformed my hair into something beautiful! I have an appointment for 8 weeks from now and I'm so excited to go back. I loved the salon, the atmosphere, the products, and the people. Capri will definitely be my salon from now on and hopefully Sara will be my stylist for many years to come. I only wish I'd known about Sara and Capri years ago. :)
- Pros: Excellent experience from start to finish.
- Cons: The only thing I can say is that thee link on their website for the services pdf didn't work.
FABULOUS!!

The best haircut I have ever had. No lie. I live in New York City and haven't had the best luck with salons here. I don't want to spend half a pay check on a haircut. I was visiting my sister and I figured why not get a haircut since I have the time. My sister highly recommended Cassie and she is the best. Seriously. She was so attentive to what I wanted. I have pretty hard to manage hair. It's course and wavy. I told her I mostly wear it wavey. And she styled it that way after. Most people always straighten it. That's nice but I don't wear my hair like that all the time. The salon itself is nice and everyone who works there is as well. It has a very calming ambiance. When I returned to NYC I got so many complements on my hair. It felt so great. Now I guess I have to fly back every two months to get my haircut. She is totally worth it, if not more!!!! I can't say it enough!!
Amazing haircuts

I'm proud to say my 1+ year of searching for an amazing stylist is finally over! Since moving to San Antonio 1? years ago, I have yet to experience a great cut until now. I visited a couple of salons from reading reviews on Citysearch (Hair Studio Sonterra a Goldwell Alliance and K. Charles to name a few). What a disappointment all the salons I tried turned out to be. Completely overpriced for mediocre cuts! I was baffled how I could not find a good stylist in a city as large as San Antonio. I was very close to expanding my search to Austin.
Since my sister is a fashion stylist in NYC (and through her network of individuals she knows in the fashion/hair/makeup industry) I've had the priviledge of getting my hair cut from some of the top stylists in NYC (stylists to the celebrities) when I visit her. I've also had my haircut from some of the top salons in LA, Chicago and Seattle.....all very cosmopolitan and fashion conscious cities. I don't mean to come off as bragging, I just can really differentiate a great cut from a mediocre cut.
I had my haircut from Cassie (co-owner) last week while my sister was in town visiting me. I intentionally scheduled a cut while she was visiting me so she could assess the quality of my cut. Both she and I can definitely say Cassie's skills are right on par with the top stylists I've experienced. My own sister was blown away by my fantastic cut. It turns out Cassie and the stylists in her salon travel to NYC for extensive training and continuing education. No wonder she was so good! Cassie did everything to PERFECTION with my requests....layering, thinning, and texturizing.
The prices at Capri fall right along with the other salons in the city. I believe Cassie's prices are a little higher than the other stylists in her salon, however she is meticulous in her work and worth every penny!
- Pros: Amazing stylists, wonderful service, parking
- Cons: Nothing
