Large varitey of aerobic classes with great instructors. The instructors do a great job of keeping the class motivated from start to finish. They change it up which keeps the classes fun to go to. From Step class to Kickboxing my overall experience has been awesome! The results that I have received keeps me coming back.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

I walk into Spectrum and there is not one time I go and they are smiling and greeting me with a smile. The staff makes me feel welcome and motivates me to come back. They call me by name and make me feel confirtable working out. If I have questions and they are busy I don't feel like I'm bothering them. It is an experience you shouldn't pass up. I highly recomend you to try.

Pros: clean facility, friendly atmosphere

I am one of those individuals who always procrastinates and has a hard time making chioces. I was in the market to join a health club after 10 years and clode to 60 lbs later. I live in the Universal City area were there are teo main clubs. A Golds which is just off of the 35 and Spectrum Athletic club down the road from Golds. I was able to get a free one week trial from both which was great because I was able to fully experience what each club had to offer. After the two weeks were finished and I had to make a choice I almost joined Golds based on the fact that the club was a little cheaper per month but I new that cost was not the main thing I was looking for in a health club and in my experience at 34 years old i know the old saying "you get what you pay for" usualy holds true. I ended up joining Spectrum and could not be any happier. The employees are friendly and helpful, club is always spotless, equipment is state of the art and the amenities are fantastic. Hope this review helps out if you are in search mode for a health club in UC.

Pros: Great customer service, user friendly equipment, clean, not crowded, child care is the best

Cons: A little more than other clubs in the area but not by much

I like Spectrum's Universal City Club because the staff is friendly and upbeat,. The club is pretty, it looks brand new. It's a great club for the entire family. The kids club plans lots of fun activities to keep the kids busy and active while mom and dad workout.. The pool is really nice and there are lots of water classes to choose from, but also plenty of swim time for members and play time for kids. Lots of classes are scheduled to offer a variety of formats to please all age groups. The locker rooms are nice and fully stocked with shower products, hair dryers, curling irons, mouthwash, hairspray and towels. And there is a women's olnly workout room with a selection of weights, cardio machines and tvs. It also has a great personal training department that can motivate anyone to get in shape. It may not be the biggest or fanciest club, but it has everything I need. I've been a member of this club for over five years and I've always been happy with it...I'll never leave.
