Being a first time mom is very difficult, especially when you don't have a Pediatrician picked out until the week before your baby is delivered!! I was given Dr. Gonzalez's name by my OB-GYN and I have been so pleased with her from day 1. She has a great, friendly staff that my 2 year old son adores (In particular Shonia). I have every faith and confidence that Dr. Gonzalez will do everything in her power to ensure my son is healthy and receives the best prescriptions and care as needed. We drive across town just to see Dr. Gonzalez and highly recommend her to anybody and everybody. Not necessarily the most kid-friendly waiting room, but Dr. Gonzalez makes up for that with her smile and excellent service.

Pros: Quick in and out

Cons: Inconvenient parking & Waiting room not appealing

Dr. Gonzalez has been there for my family for 10 years now. She was recommended to me from my OB. When my first child was one month old she had to be put in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. Dr. Gonzalez was there everyday with me. She explained everything that was going on with my daughter. So naturally we kept going to see Dr. Gonzalez when she moved to the office she is now. We travel a good 45 minutes to see her smiling face. She know my family and all my kids medical history. Now that they are moving again, you bet I will follow her again. She now treats all five of my children. I recommend Tejas Pediatrics to all parents who love their children enough to give them the very best.

Pros: 15 - 30 minute wait time in waiting room, but you get to watch cartoons!

Cons: could use more books

My daughter was diag. with reflux. Never heard of it and didn't know what it was. She cried endlessly. and so did I. I went to the Dr. (Bauer) and she perscribed meds, one of which made my baby even more uncomfortable so I stopped giving it to her. Never got any explanations just a give her this and do this so I went home thinking everything was going to be okay and it wasn't. I would research on the internet and call with questions. I just felt like they weren't as worried about my little one as I was. As short of a time as they spent with me they could of atleast acted like it. They have too many patients and Dr. Bauer couldn't remember what she told me from visit to visit. She thought that if she pushed the issue that it would have made it so. Couldn't remember some of the changes that were made over the phone...I had to remind her. I'm changing doctors right away. Oh, I asked to be refered to a pedi Gi specialist for the reflux and she refused! Why??What's it to her?? No help AT ALL!!

Pros: They do call you back.

Cons: Their office looks trashy.

Although my Children haven't seen Dr. Gonzalez yet, I was glad to see the reviews and let everyone know who reccomended her to me. My mother is an L&D nurse so when I had bad experiences with 2 pedi's I asked her to talk to the nursery nurses at the hospital. That is where the whole group was highly reccomended to me. I am looking forward to my first appointment as my daughter has serious stomach problems and I acan't wait to see a Docotor who can help! Not to mention it really says alot when the nurses that work daily with this group feels that they are the best out there!

Pros: Reccomended by nurses

Cons: havent see them yet

Both my children go to Tejas Pediartics, Hayley (9) and Lauren (3), under the care of Dr. Gonzalez. I cannot express my gratitude for this establishment. From the greatest doctors, Nurses (Frances) (Shonia)and all the way through the person who answers the phone. I have recommended this office to everyone who will listen. I had a premature baby who only weighed 1lb 12ozs, and was in NICU for 5 months, when we were getting ready to leave the hospital I asked the NICU doctor if he could recommend a specialty doctor to see my special needs child and he asked me who my older daughter saw and I told him she has been seeing Dr. Gonzalez since she was born and he told me that I already had one of the best doctors out there. My doctor and Tejas Pediatrics have been wonderful and have gone way beyond the call of duty for my family. Rhonda Reeder Banuelos

Pros: Service, Customer Service, Friendly Staff, Great On-Call Help,Worry-free Experience

Cons: N/A

After reading the only review I thought I'd let you know how a "real" patient feels. I don't know if this guy had a bad day or what, but we LOVE Tejas Pediatrics. My regular Dr that I see is Dr. Bauer and she has always been wonderful when we are there. There have been a couple afternoon visits that we've had to wait for (meaning that there are other patients and it's busy) but for the most part we always get in and out of the office pretty quick. I know of at least a half dozen other friends who go here also and we've all been going for 5+ years. I would HIGHLY reccomend this office and the wonderful staff. I have also seen Dr. Beaty and another Dr that I can't remember her name right now. They've all been great. PS No, there are not that many toys. A couple large items but not much else. Less things for my kids to get germs from if you want my opinion.

If you care good service, smiling personel do not go in there. Everything is fine on the phone but once you are in the office they treat you like dirt! We waited for an hour and get so mad that we did not want towait for another hour to see the doctor. Thanks God ours was a well child visit and we had the chance to walk away. Also there were only very few toys and NO BOOKS in the office. The only good thing was the two waiting rooms, one for sick child the other for well child. I have no idea about the doctors but it was the least busy pediatricians office I have ever been. That must also tell you something...
