Do not mistake this location for the others. There is no comparison. I have been going here since 2001 and have never been disappointed (or when I have, I was taken care of). Anyone I've ever introduced to the McCullough location has gone back repeatedly and invited others. Now, I always order the Enchiladas de Queso with double rice (I don't like beans). I've also had the grilled fajitas (marinated expertly) and the caldo. All very delicious. Oh my God, don't even get me started on the tortillas; both flour and especially corn are delicious, great for wiping your plate clean. The Margaritas are good (not great, but good). This is great Tex-Mex food that appeals to even Mexican nationals (my friends from Monterrey love it). When I feel like staying home but hosting a nice meal I order take-out and I'm never disappointed. Simple, unpretentious, tidy, and a surprisingly great value in Olmos Park. It gets PACKED so be prepared to wait (but don't go elsewhere until you've tried this place at least once, because then you'll be one of the patrons who helps to pack the place). Also, don't be turned off my the hoity toity address; this is down home Tex-Mex. You might see a Trinity faculty member at one table, and an AC tech eating with his kids at the next.

Pros: For Food, Best Mexican Restaurant in Town, Simple and Comfortable Environment

Cons: Sodas Served in Cans, Salsa Sometimes Too Hot, Sometimes Gets Too Packed and Service Slows

On the last visit to the West Ave location, there was one particularly insulting waiter. As food is no better than average, I won't be returning to be insulted again.

Cons: Nasty waitstaff

The best advice I can give a first timer at Panchito's is plan ahead. Get there early, your dining experience will be better off. Friday's are the best because they have awesome drink specials and a very enjoyable musician playing random music while you dine. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp plate, pricey but very delectable! Also the Olmos Tacos are very different and tastey.

Pros: great tortillas, location, margaritas

Cons: avoid coming during peek hours

I ate at Panchito's located on Mccullough street on March 23rd 2006 at approximately 6:20 am. I did not like the salsa, which is brought out to you with chips, it tasted like it was from the jar. The taco's were cold and they didn't taste fresh. Aside from the breakfast, I had already eaten there for dinner, and the dinner is amazing. The food quality is better for dinner, in my opinion they should not serve breakfast until they learn a little bit more.

Pros: good parking, clean, nice staff

Cons: taste of food, authenticity, salsa recipe
