I have been going to Sherlock's for YEARS! I love it! They have great food, moderately priced drinks, and great music! I do wish they could expand however....dance floor gets SO packed at times that you cannot move. :-( It doesn't stop me from trying though. It is conveniently located and I love the crowd. I see all age groups and people from all "walks-of-life." I do think it is time for Sherlock's to fix the place up a bit. Since I have been going there for many years now I have noticed it getting a bit "run down." The carpet could use some replacing. It is getting a bit shabby.

Pros: location, price, atmosphere, music, parking

Cons: small dance floor

I've only been to Sherlock's 2-3 times...the very first time was during happy hour on the band side and I had a blast!! The second time we got there a little later and it was a little crowded on the band side so, my friends and I went to the Bar side...it was still fun. They have little secluded areas for you and your friends to enjoy eachother's company. I think it's a great place to hang out and just have fun. The bathroom attendants are hilariously funny and sweet...the waiters are friendly, and the drinks are of average price...what's there to complain about?! And let's not forget about the live music....SHERLOCKS...A....MUST!!!! :O)

This club can be fun. The food and music pulls back each time. However it lacks consistency in staff demeanor. Wait staff seems to loose track of their assigned zones. The restaurant seems to perform somewhat well. We have experienced on several occasions a request to pay upfront or secure a signed receipt in advance. Not a problem...however, this policy doesn't seem to be routine. It changes each time we visit. Management needs to review this business practice. It kind of makes the bar look risky to enjoy. Recommendation: If the wait staff is rotated through the evening I would suggest labeling the tables with a bright color code scheme (Not numbered but color coded). Note: This has happened on more than one occasion--the wait staff seems to "fail" in recognizing their assigned areas. Communicating with their fellow co-workers might improve request for customer service.

Cons: Poor Wait Staff, ?Business Practice, Customer Friendly?

Sherlocks is easy...no snob appeal. It's always a place to make new freinds or visit with old pals. Considering the volume, service is great, if you've recieved bad service from Sherlocks, chances are you consider loose change a sufficient tip and if your bill was brought too early, chances are your waitress couldn't wait to get rid of you so someone else a little more engaging could fill your spot!

Pros: Service, Freindly Atmos., Cute Guys

Cons: Happy Hour!!!

It wasn't a busy night but for some reason I had to hunt down a waitress and then she wasn't very helpful. She took a longtime bringing drinks but was quick to bring the bill.

After going there so many times in less than a year, I must say that I think that Sherlock's is a great place to go meet up with some friends, listen to some live music, and have a few drinks.

Pros: No cover charge

Cons: Crowded in band area

Sherlocks is one of the funner spots in San Antonio. They have live music every time I've gone and always have a good crowd. Drink prices are what you would expect. Not too pricey. The side with the live band can get pretty crowded. Be sure you get there early if you want a table. I rate it an 8 out of 10 because you will have a good time. Also, they make you wait in line if the bar gets too full. But if the door guy with dark hair and the full lips is checking IDs, then it's worth the wait!

Cons: parking, lines, too crowded
