One negatives, A thousand positives!. When we got to the Alamo on Saturday night, they told us that we were part of an "overage" and that they didn't have room for us. They got us a room at the Hyatt Grand, a block or so over, and paid for it! Yes, it was an inconvenience... but we got over it and came back on Sunday.

We stayed Sunday - Wednesday... and they upgraded our room to a Suite due to the incident on Saturday night. The room was beautiful, simple, and very very comfortable. The Alamo is literally in their back yard and the river walk is only a block and a half away. We enjoyed every day here -- and this hotel was sooo close to everything we wanted to see!

I would definitely stay here again. This has been one of the most enjoyable vacations we've had thus far!

Dependable chain lodgings in a historic setting.. The Scene
Guests looking for rooms that reflect San Antonios rich history will be happy here. In 1909 the International Order of Odd Fellows built a lodge and hotel on the site of the historical battle for The Alamo. Today the building has been restored to its former grandeur. One of its best assets is its location, directly behind the famous mission. Many popular attractions are within walking distance, including Rivercenter Mall and the River Walk.

Very nice hotel. I've stayed here twice and I'll say that this hotel is very clean and has a nice staff. The lounge is very nice and they also serve good food in the restaurant. I only wish they would have had refrigirators in the room. Otherwise a fine, historic hotel.
