I'm in a hurry so I'll try to write fast and hope that it makes sense. I have been searching for someone to do my hair for so long. Let's say that I have been looking for 6 years! Last year I tried Hair Studio @ Sonterra and after paying $ 180.00 I walked away crying from the nightmare and having to pay more money at the store to atleast use box dye to get my hair to a decent color. So still needing help I tried this site AGAIN and read the reviews about Michelle. "What the heck" I say to myself, "Let's give her a try." I call on Thursday and got in the next day And I am so glad that I did. She is not only nice and attentive but she worked fast and precise. Most ppl stick you under a dryer and just wait til the timer goes off. Not her she was checking every 5 minutes to make sure that I would have the perfect color. Not only that but the cut was great too. Even my biggest critics (my Boys) liked it all. Then of all things I use the restroom not knowing that I dropped $20 and the nice man that works there come to me to return it. The honesty was very nice. I also liked the fact that she didn't try to sell me ever item on the shelf. I had no pressure from her at all. I tell you I love her! Everyone was nice and always offering wine, coffee, water. It was so nice. I am sold and going to Michelle from now on. I live in the Boerne area but she is worth the drive even with the gas prices. I am picky and not an easy person to please but Michelle got everything right and will forever be the #1 person that I go to from now on. Kitty

Cons: Hard to find for the first timers.

Michelle has cut my hair for the last twenty years. Honestly, where ever she is is where I go. Over the years I have traveled sometimes as far as a 5 hour flight. Now that she's at Avalon I think she is truly home. Great friendly staff, professional and well educated in their craft. I've never seen anyone leave without a smile on their face. Here's a tip for the year. GO SEE MICHELLE AT AVALON!!!

I was referred to Michelle Edwards by my boss. I had gone to another salon and was not happy with the color result. I went to Michelle in a panic and she “color corrected” my hair and worked with me, on conditioning and care, until I was able to get high lights. I am very happy with the service I received. She gained a customer and a referral service. I tell everyone about Michelle and Salon Avalon.

I was very impressed with this salon. The people were very friendly and my stylist did a fantastic job on my hair. They even offered me a glass of wine!! I can't wait to go in for a pedicure and manicure. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I would like to say that Michelle Edwards does amazing things with hair. I have "difficult" hair with high maintenance needs. She is a highly trained color expert and has skillful/modern cutting techniques. Staying on top of the current trends makes her able to update any style or give you a new look. She begins with a consultation and will discuss your wants and needs, while making sure your look is current and fashionable. The entire experience is pampering for your soul and hair. I highly recommend Michelle.

The first time I went to Avalon, I was impressed by the excellent service Michelle gave. The haircut was done professionally and with care. I felt I mattered to Michelle and the staff, who made me feel wanted and appreciated. She was friendly and asked lots of questions. I enjoyed my visit and will come back again soon!

My gray was out of control and I have had some bad experiences at other salons. I always wanted to maintain my natural hair color and I would end up getting a completely different hair color then what I wanted. My co-worker recommended I visit her stylist, Natalie at Avalon. When I arrived, Natalie and the staff welcomed me, she then took her time to discuss the cut and color. Not only did Natalie do an excellent job she recommended products that I could use to maintain my "New Look". My husband's and co-workers all commented that I looked like I was in my 20's again. They loved the new look. Thanks Natalie and Avalon for transforming my image.

Great Salon, I am new to San Antonio and was referred to Avalon by a co-worker. My stylist (Natalie) did a wonderful job on my highlights and I will strongly recommend Avalon to all my friends. Also the atmosphere is very pleasant, they make you feel like family.

Pros: Family- Like atmosphere, very relaxing
